VileChewie 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2014 (edited) I've been trying some stuff out, this is my current opener that leads into my basic rotation. Want to see if there are any improvements that can be made. Every action is 1.5 seconds as assumed by GCD without being affected by any outside means. TF (30 secs) - (8s) Blood Talons (Post 5) - (30s) Inc (3 min) - (30s) Berserk (3 min) - (15s) Rake - 15 seconds Rip - 24 Move Addtl Effects CPs Length of Effect opening HT - Apply BT Prowl-Rake BT + Prowl Imp Rake - 1 - (til 15s) Shred BT Imp Shred - 2-3 Shred Norm - 3-5 BS (3m) - 3-5 - (til 20s) IoC (3m) - 3-5 - (til 35s) 6 seconds FB - 0 (Proc?) TF (30s) - (til 15.5s) Shred TF Boost - 1 Shred TF Boost - 2-3 Shred TF Boost - 3-5 12 seconds [if 4] HT Rake BT + Prowl + TF - 5 - (til 27s) Rip BT + TF - 0 - (til 36s) (TF Gone) from here swap between SR and Rip Use TF every other rake, make sure to wait for PS with 4 combo points into Rake->Rip Always use TF and BT procs together unless BT is triggered with more than 10s left on TF cd Make sure BT/TF rip is done as Target is < 27% for Blood in Water procs Edited December 1, 2014 by VileChewie
Tarazet 144 Report post Posted December 1, 2014 The GCD for cat is a fixed 1.0, so you should be able to go through your opener slightly faster than you realize.
Paloro 39 Report post Posted December 1, 2014 Optimal: HT Prowl Pre-Pot Rake Incarnation Shred Shred TF+Berserk Rip Shred to 4 cp HT Rake FB
Metoxx 1 Report post Posted December 1, 2014 (edited) Optimal: HT Prowl Pre-Pot Rake Incarnation Shred Shred TF+Berserk Rip Shred to 4 cp HT Rake FB why would you do 2 Shreds w/o Berserk? imo this should be better: HT Prowl Pre-Pot Rake Incarnation Lucky Double-Sided Coin+Berserk+Shred (just be sure to wait til Incarnation's GCD ends before using/casting trinket+Berserk... so u wont waste this secound) Shred til 5 CP TF Rip Shred to 4 cp HT Rake FB but maybe i'm wrong. Paloro 39 Report post Posted December 1, 2014 The idea is to maximize the amount of time Berserk is up during Incarnation and to use TF after you already used Incarnation. Exactly where you place it is somewhat trivial, so long as you aren't capping on energy. I personally don't like to mash buttons during an opener, so that I have time to apply FF as well, hence why I wait until I complete 2 Shreds.
Krazyito 521 Report post Posted December 1, 2014 This has nothing to do with your post, but I commend you for actually getting some kind of formatting for those 'tables' to work properly on these forums. That sir, is a feat in itself. I usually would have just put it into a spreadsheet or something and pasted a picture. Kudos to you!

I know it's probably muscle memory at this point, but you no longer need to apply Faerie Fire. The debuff that was associated with it is gone.
Paloro 39 Report post Posted December 2, 2014 So much engrained in my muscle memory, that I didn't even bother to look at this change...... I suppose it is only ever good for PvP now

It can be nice to snare an add with Faerie Swarm without generating threat, and you can glyph it into a silence as well. But it is no longer a debuff that you need to keep up for raid DPS.
