ZZZ: Adopt and Name your Own Cat!

Zenless Zone Zero is still full of mysteries that are still left to discover, and one of the recent one is the cat named Inky! Find out how to adopt it and even rename it!

The Mystery of Inky the Cat in Zenless Zone Zero is rather nice to uncover. Your first encounter with Inky is during the main story: the second sibling will ask you to interact with the cat in the backstreets of Sixth Street. This is the first time you will be able to pet it!

Once Inky is unlocked, you can find it during evenings or at midnight in Sixth Street. 

Depending on your trust rank, you will need to answer appropriatly in order to increase your rank with Inky:

  • Rank 1: Inky is becoming Familiar. Always choose to watch from afar in order to gain Inky's trust. It needs to gets used to you first!
  • Rank 2: Inky is being Friendly. If you answer wrong, the trust rank will decrease again. You will have different choices depending on what Inky says. You can find the cat food needed to feed it at the Convenience Store (you need to unlock an NPC quest first called Abyss Needs Backup to unlock the treats at the store):

    • Feed Inky when you encounter one of the following situation:

      • Inky is with a group of cats. Feed Inky first. You can also play with cats here, but the trust will increase more if you choose to feed Inky first.

      • Inky says: "Me-ow...!" 

      • Inky says: "Meow-ow..."

      • Inky says: "Meow-woo!"

      • Inky says: "Meow..."

    • Pet Inky when he says the following things:

      • "Meow-ow..."

      • "Meow Purr Purr"

      • "Meow-woo..."

      • "Meow-woo~"

      • "Meow-woo-woo~"

    • Play with Inky when he says "Meow-oww". He wants to play Hide and Seek. Play with Inky twice to increase more trust.

Sometimes Soldier 11 will appear near Inky. Complete her requests to increase the trust rank with Inky.

  • Rank 3: Inky is always Close. From now on Inky will always hang out somewhere near Random Play, the video store.  The same dialogues as rank 2 can still happen, including Hide and Seek, and the interactions with Soldier 11.

  • Rank 4: Inky is trusting you. Soldier 11 will contact you and ask you if you want to adopt the cat. You will also be able to name it, but be careful as you will not be able to change the name again after. You also need to finish Soldier 11's character story, otherwise she will not contact you.

After you rename it, the cat is officially yours and will always stay inside the Video Store!

      A Combat Photo Mode for Zenless Zone Zero?

      With the latest event in Zenless Zone Zero, you can now enjoy the new photo mode during combat! Learn more about it and what you can do with this feature!
      For the next couple of weeks, players can take part in Click Click Hollow Reporter,  the latest photo event in Zenless Zone Zero! 
      At first glance, the event might not seem too exciting, but players quickly discovered a hidden gem: once you complete the daily stage, you unlock Hyperfocus Shot, a free photo mode. This lets you freely fight and snap as many action shots as you want, something normally impossible in the game!
      Players have already started sharing their most amazing shots online. Check them out here, or add yours to the collection:
      This new mode is a blast, allowing you to capture your most impressive combat moments, or the funniest ones!
      Many players are wishing for this event feature to stay, but it is unclear whether it will become a permanent addition or remain exclusive to special events.
      For now, make the most of it before the event ends on February 17th, 2025!

      ZZZ Deadly Assault Future Lineups!

      Recent leaks about version 1.6 of Zenless Zone Zero have revealed some of the future bosses you will encounter during your Deadly Assault runs.
      This endgame content is one of the toughest challenges in the game, so knowing in advance who you will be up against can help you prepare!
      Here are some of the upcoming bosses:
      Corruption Complex Corrupted Overlord Pompey Autonomous Assault Unit Typhon Destroyer Notorious Marionette Notorious Pompey Dead End Butcher Sacrifice Bringer Some of these bosses have already appeared in previous Deadly Assault runs, including Corruption Complex and Corrupted Overlord Pompey, both of which you can fight right now alongside Notorious Dead End Butcher!

      A new leak for Zenless Zone Zero version 1.6 has surfaced, showing a sample rotation featuring Astra Yao, Silver Soldier Anby (or SsAnby, SAnby), and Trigger. This was shared by Leifa, giving us a first look at how these Agents might work together.

      Since Silver Soldier Anby requires a lot of field time, she seems to work really good with both Trigger and Astra who can both do their job off-field. The only down-point of this team would be the lack of swapping that Astra may usually need. Ss Anby and Trigger's kits can of course still change until they release.
