Akudama 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2014 (edited) Hi, UPDATE : The optimal crafted piece slots for fury and glad (in Highamul raid tier) as far as I can tell are Neck, Helm, and Legs. (assuming you want crit multistrike) A friend suggested that I look into the pieces that don't give good main stats from highmaul / foundry and use my 3 crafted pieces on those slots. I haven't had time to comb through all the gear and see where the shortcomings are in terms of secondaries and slot. Has anyone done the homework on this? I mainly want to know for Gladiator Stance spec but would be interested in the other specs regardless. Anyone figured this out? Estarriol 167 Report post Posted December 3, 2014 You can make gear for basically every slot. The catch is that the stats are random. You can reroll the stats, but it comes at a material cost.
Akudama 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2014 thanks for the quick reply estarriol but I think you may have somewhat misunderstood my question. I'll just use highmaul to better explain my question Lets say I want Crit / haste on every slot for arguments sake. If there is a particular slot that does NOT provide at least one of these stats from Highmaul bosses than it would be intelligent to craft these pieces so that you have the secondaries you want. Which specific armor slots are these for each spec?Hopefully that better outlines my question.
ragebarr 153 Report post Posted December 4, 2014 That is simply some grunt work that I don't think any people on here has done yet. Should be pretty easy to do by yourself with the help of the in-game dungeon journal, or even Wowhead.
Somn 1 Report post Posted December 6, 2014 Itemization for Gladiators is somewhat crappy on Highmaul gear. You'll likely find a mix of crafted gear along with drops will suit you best depending on which stat priority you favor. Crit is the obvious qualifier, in my eyes. From there it depends on the second secondary stat which is a bit like choosing the lesser of four evils at this point.
ragebarr 153 Report post Posted December 7, 2014 I don't think the "lesser of the 4 evils" is quite right here, as after crit, 2 of the other secondaries are strong choices. Haste is good (and even overtakes Crit as your best secondary from time to time depending on how much of each you have). Multistrike is a decent 3rd choice, and only Versatility and Mastery are very inferior choices.
Somn 1 Report post Posted December 7, 2014 ...That's the definition of the lesser of four evils though! The least bad of the rest of the stats >.< haste is good but not currently worth gearing for extensively past 330, multistrike is fancy n shiny, versa is meh, and mastery is very meh. Haste and multistrike are the lesser of four evils. Although, if I had it my way, I'd just have 330 haste and double crit rolls on everything...But that's not exactly feasible :(
