Swarf 111 Report post Posted September 24, 2024 ok I was looking up some stuff on rare titles and came across an old icy article that's in the old format and OH MY GOD I MISS IT! I mean just look at it, it's so awesome, no one can tell me they dont miss this and prefer to this new disaster they've come up with. Sorry devs I know you've worked hard but you tried to fix something that isn't broken and it's awful now!

LeoFreskos 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2024 Because the last time our smileys were updated was roughly before the dawn of time. If you want to use it, just link it as an image. Its not that hard.
TheRagingwolf 258 Report post Posted January 13 The ability to discuss an article on the same page as the article is what was so great about this place. Most of the game info can be found in many places on the internet, so there's nothing special about that aspect. I've been considering just having my account deleted here because I only pop in to see if the comments are fixed. Seems pointless to bother as they have had MONTHS to fix this and the writing is on the wall, icy veins had no intention of preserving comments on article pages. Swarf 111 Report post Posted January 13 It honestly sort of boggles the mind to know that, apparently, Icy is genuinely willing to let this function of the site be indefinitely missing. One has to assume they could have reverted back to the old site format at any time, which had full functionality and worked perfectly and which no one complained about. They've chosen to keep this new site format, which no one asked for, and which is literally broken. From an end user standpoint, it just doesn't make any sense.

We're definitely getting comments back at some point. It's not just you that want them back 😄

I don't see what the need to change the design was anyway. The new design fells clunky and amateurish. It definitely appears from the user perspective to be a matter of fixing what isn't broke. Anyway, feels like this will be my last post here. Stripping comments as they did and forcing a redesign for no reason just seems tone deaf to what the users want. Stan 5,240 Report post Posted Friday at 06:10 PM Hey everyone, we removed the comments system in September 2024. Our new site was unfortunately designed in a way that doesn't allow plugins to work the same way they would on a regular WordPress site. Because of this, the only viable option right now would be OpenWeb, but they're asking for unrealistic monthly fees, which isn't feasible. We still have it on our list to explore other alternatives for our comments to return once Path of Exile 2 is done. Sorry for the long wait, as we hope to bring back a proper comments section in the future.
