IreneGR 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2014 (edited) Hello kitties! I read almost every day icy veins feral druid guide. I have learned a lot through WoD but I feel that my DPS is still low. I want to thank @Paloro for his guide it was really nice to read through charts etc. I found out about Tiger Fury that I should wait when my energy is below 40. The rest of the rotation I know this very well (I think. I might be wrong) I tested all T7 talents and Bloodtalons was the easier for me to concetrate. I am on 632 iLVL and I still find my dps low and always last on instances (I really feel like that I want to delete WoW due to my sucking DPS but I do not want to give up on my feral.) On the latest instances and raids I am doing around 10k-11k dps (according to skada meter). I tried to see how World of Logs works so as to post the DPS here but I gave up fast. Well too much talking... lets get into the spot. My druid is here (click) -The gloves are changed into Critical strike + Multistrike, armory is not updated yet.The rotation I am using as shown here at Paloro's guide is :Prowl -> Shred -> Rake -> Shred to maintain combos then Rip.Then if Rake is up I go on with Shred until 5 combos and then I use Savage Roar (1st if fades out) and then Rip (after 5 combos). With Bloodtalons talent I maintain Healing Touch all times. I also use Tiger Fury when active (but I will change it to cast on 40< energy). I use Berserker when available and in some specific occassions. Like at the start of the Raid boss and then on 20< HP.I was not using Incarnation all time, because I had Savage Roar up by using 5 combo points. Should I use this all time? When I use Incarnation, I change into Prowl state and then hit Shred. As you can see on my armory, secondary stats are not changed yet, because my iLVLs are 630. I am still farming to go for 640 and above items. Is that possible that the lack of the correct secondary stats affect my overall DPS?Well I don't know what to say further than the above info. I totally understand the rotation as single target. In case I got 2 and more targets, should I change between them to maintain DoT attacks? * I will try later with warcraft logs, hope I can make it! * Edited December 7, 2014 by IreneGR
Tarazet 144 Report post Posted December 7, 2014 You should always use Incarnation, Berserk and Tiger's Fury together, plus your troll racial Berserking. You used to get locked out of activating TF while Berserk was active, but that seems to no longer be the case. Even so, I use a one-button macro to activate all four abilities when they are up. Make sure you are low on Energy before you start the sequence. The point of Bloodtalons is to use your free Healing Touches, then get two charges to boost your bleed effects - normally Rake and Rip. In low gear levels like most of us mere mortals have at this point, I find it quite difficult to get a BT-powered Rip on a target, and in a dungeon, with targets that die more quickly, it's not as efficient, so I end up using both of the BT charges on dropping Rakes on different targets. I've also felt that BT Thrashes are fairly uninspiring, not like they were in MoP. If you are having trouble with AoE damage, then give the laser cat build a shot. Spreading Moonfire plus Rake on everything is pretty spiffy.
IreneGR 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2014 (edited) @Tarazet do you have a specific sequence of the four skills according to the macro? EDIT: Ah it doesnt matter. I just tested it. Edited December 7, 2014 by IreneGR
Paloro 39 Report post Posted December 7, 2014 The macro is fairly simple. #showtooltip Berserk /cast Incarnation: King of the Jungle /cast Berserk /cast Berserking You can change the #showtooltip to Incarnation if you wish....it's just for tracking the cooldown. Tarazet 144 Report post Posted December 7, 2014 I put Incarnation at the end of the sequence, because being classified as a shapeshift effect, it triggers a GCD and that can prevent the effects after it from going off because of the way WoW queues abilities. #showtooltip Incarnation: King of the Jungle /cast Tiger's Fury /cast Berserk /cast Berserking /cast Incarnation: King of the Jungle And keep Tiger's Fury somewhere else on your bar because it should be used every 30 seconds. Krazyito 521 Report post Posted December 8, 2014 You should honestly pre-cast incarnation so you don't waste any uptime on your stuff that's off the GCD.
Tarazet 144 Report post Posted December 8, 2014 You should honestly pre-cast incarnation so you don't waste any uptime on your stuff that's off the GCD. You're right, of course. If you want to get that last tenth out then you should use the 3 cooldowns during the GCD pause (and it's a 1.5, unlike the normal 1.0 for cat). The OP is still learning, so using a one-button macro will make sure that everything is active at the same time.

Krazyito 521 Report post Posted December 8, 2014 I'm talking about you pre-cast Incarnation BEFORE your spells that are off the GCD. So Inc -> wait for the GCD -> Off GCD abilities + attacks - This way you use the stuff that is off the GCD with your attacks, not wasting the one GCD you would otherwise lose by using it with Inc. Not necessarily talking about the start of a fight.
Paloro 39 Report post Posted December 8, 2014 The idea behind "pre-casting" Incarnation is that it consistently opens you with a Savage Roar from Rake. There are times that an unsuccessful cast will happen, you begin to melee, and you are left with 1-2 cp's and no SR. It is not optimal, but there is some benefit to doing it.
