This..has to be a bug. If all multistrikes proc'd it, we'd have literal shit tons of shards rolling out of our butts.

 

The best guess I have right now is a bug that causes a corruption tick that rolls a nightfall proc, and THEN multistrikes, fucks the system and causes it to generate 2 instead of 1.

 

This is *slightly* supported by the fact that logs show only 1x nightfall event for these random 2x events....I think..

I made an official bug thread on the US forums. The more people that provide logs/support of the claim, the higher the chance it has to gain traction.

 

Who knows, maybe they'll buff affliction after they fix it to compensate :).

For now i have one answer from mvp:

 

I don't know wether it is a bug, but it seems every 3rd or 4th (I think 4th, not sure) generates double soul shards. This means you should hover at 2 shards instead of 3 like we used to do, so if you get a double event, you're at least prepared for it.

That's interesting, because when i've experimented last two times distibution of double procs was:

So, i will try a new experiment with more long sequence.

Getting the same results after a couple of minutes droning at the dummies. Every 4th Nightfall gives me 2 shards instead of 1.

Just thought I'd throw this out here, in case you guys haven't been using this buff to test. It might make things a lot easier. Coordinates 65,79 in Frostfire Ridge to unlock the buff if you need it.
