[Feral] - Trinket Question?

Sorry to create a thread about this but I've been going over this in my head and can't seem to determine which is "better". I figured some other ferals could benefit from seeing the feedback on this. I also want to make sure I understand our stat priorities correctly too by reasoning this out.

 

We all know trinkets are odd right now in WoD. But I never expected to be comparing a 615 trinket with a 645.

 

I have had the Munificent Emblem of Terror (615) http://www.wowhead.com/item=114427 for a week or so now. Thus far it has not been replaced by any heroic 630 trinket I've had drop (just two too date). I know it's one of the "better" pre-raid trinkets for us at the moment. This morning I got Grandiose Plans (645) http://www.wowhead.com/item=114549 from a follower mission. The internal struggle began.

I have been prioritizing Crit/Mastery gear, even to the point of not equipping normal/herorc drops with neither stat (beyond my boots I've had haste/vest roll for me). Thus I've been going back into Heroics to get the BIS crit/mast gear as my guild has been progressing in Highmaul.

 

My SimCraft (and these feral forums) tell me: Wdps > Agi > AP > Crit> Mult> Ver > Mast > Hast (Matches these forums up to Ver).

 

So knowing that I assume Grandiose Plans (645) is better. 183 vs 138 Agi (45 gain) is a big chunk of Agi/AP, our core stat. But then... 183 Mult vs (a chance of) 1200 Crit... seems like a wash to me. Obviously 1200 crit is better, but it is a chance...the 183 Mult is always there. But! Given my character has very little Mult otherwise is it really better?

 

In my mind I've reasoned that Grandiose Plans (645) is better for my current character and my gear/gear focus, thus I equipped it. But am I right?

Grandiose Plans is better. 

 

While the 1200 crit is a strong proc, it only lasts for 10 seconds and procs from RPPM less then once per minute....meaning you aren't guaranteed to get it on your opener.

 

Since you already have Skull of War, you would be running into a situation where you would have a ton of crit, then nothing when either proc runs out.  Go for consistency.
