Spec Choices.

Recommended Posts

What's up guys! (And Gals')

I wanted to get a general feedback on how the specs are doing and what people are running.

I leveled my rogue as Assassination and had a good amount of fun with it but decided to switch because of dagger drops in Highmaul being quite low and my luck being shiet.

I switched to Sub and did quite well and than also wanted to try out combat. Currently on the Sims Sub is the highest atm, But I usually don't bother seeing how sims are doing because they are basically useless in my eyes. But I like to get a good idea on where the basis of the spec is.

So I want to hear how other specs are doing. Currently with Combat I'm running around 20-22k On single target. Obv cleave and AoE is much better and higher with combat. Sub I was pushing around 20-26k single target with AoE going decently well as well with the new way FoK works. I haven't tried Assassination yet in a raid but before I switched gems and chants for it. I wanted to hear if anyone has been playing assassination for Highmaul progression and how the dmg is?

My armory is : http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/anvilmar/Realsneaky/simple

And some recent logs are: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/Vat34THxFch8Z6dM/

In hopes of maybe some feedback on how I'm doing and what I could be improving since I am new to rogue come this xpac. (at least maining one).

Sorry I know this post had a lot in it. But I wanted to cover all the bases, Thanks!

According to this, which analyzes raid data from the first week Highmaul was open, all three Rogue specs are raid viable right now. Each spec has certain fights in Highmaul that it's best at. If you just count the number of bosses that each spec does best at, Subtlety and Combat are tied with 3 bosses, with Assassination behind at only one boss (so if you're going to dual-spec and switch specs between bosses, Combat/Sub is probably the way to go right now), but if you average out the damage done by each spec across all seven Highmaul bosses, they're all within about 1% of each other overall, so if you want to just stick with a single spec, it doesn't really matter which one of the three you choose.

Pretty much this.

Whichever spec you have the most fun as will be better for you in the long run, cause you'll be more eager to improve. That said, I think that Sub currently has the best tools to perform well on the most fights, but Combat has more chances for weapons in Highmaul

Im playing rogue assa in cata classic and after read some guide I don't understand some things about stats.
I know as a rogue assa I have to priories hit rating until the spell hit cap of 17% (1332 if I remember) but i dont understand how to manage other stats like mastery and haste/crit or expertise.
Did I have to put full mastery ? and reforge all the crit chance, expertise and reforge haste at least ? Or did I have to balance mastery and haste ?
Can someone help me to understand in wich ordre and priority I have to manage stats as Assa Rogue in wow cata classic ?

As the title already said I'm needing help understanding how to make the build like the guide says, i somehow need to get the full set bonus of bones of Rathma but i also need the full Captain Crimson's trimmings bonus for cd reduction i can get that with ring of royale grandeur but i also need to use fate's vow helm but if i use it i cant get the full Bones of Rathma set bonus or Captain Crimson's trimmings bonus.
If anyone know how i can get that build to work please say how, I'm open to any suggestions.

I am going the corpselance support build for Necromancer and the build has me taking Corpselance with Brittle and the pestilence set on top of that, if I were to take off the ability Corpselance and change it to another ability say for example Bone Spikes with Frost spikes, would the damage decrease an amount that it would not be worth it?
