He is right no snake traps nor hounds so mentioning it is pointless. Deck is still very strong tho through my tests of it.

Not trying to troll, but this deck and any deck like it that has the Undertaker, is PURE luck...

If you don't get Undertaker in your first hand or before round 3 you're basically gonna lose, because by then you've accumulated most of your Death cards, which you can't play now because they have cards to instantly remove them from the board, and you also don't wanna play because "what if I get him next draw".

Point is, yes there's "big" cards in the deck, which MAY help later, but all these decks rely too heavily on ONE card, which if you don't get in the first few draws you've taken so much damage, and they've got such a board presence you can't come back from it.

If you got to legendary using JUST this deck, then it was PURE luck, I played 4 games in a row, lost every game... Why? Because I never got undertaker.

Uh, yeah. So that's the kind of attitude that means you're probably never going to improve at this game, and you'll spend all your time losing to players and moaning about how lucky they were.

The deck plays 8 1-drops. 8 of them. Any of them are fine to play on turn 1. The idea is to start your momentum by getting on the board early, yes the dream is the Undertaker start, but it's by no means necessary. Especially with new GvG cards like Glaivezooka that help you stabilise bad starts, and the 4-drop Deathrattles that can bring more value to your Undertaker if you draw it later.

If you can't win without drawing Undertaker turn 1, that's testimony to you as a player, not the deck.

Nice, but.. it is just the same thing... I.. was looking forward to see a control hunter deck, or at least a deck where I will see... lets say... something else.

How about Feign Death...what could I take out for it? Maybe a Gleave? ....what do you guys think?

Feign Death is really weak in this deck, the Deathrattle effects just aren't that powerful to justify spending a card to activate them. If you want Feign Death in Hunter, then more powerful effects like Cairne, Sylvanas and Nerubian Egg are required. A deck with that concept may come later, but it's not a great idea in this one.

For those without access to the Naxx cards, what cards might be half-decent substitutes for them?

Unfortunately, the Undertaker synergy is pretty much vital to this deck's playstyle. Once you take Undertaker, Mad Scientist, Webspinner etc out of the equation, this isn't really a deck that's going to work too well.

Just so everyone knows, I used this deck to hit Legend today. So no excuses guys :P

Any chance of some play through videos? Can't seem to put this deck into practice :(

Video content is definitely something we want to produce, but I need to make some upgrades to my home setup before I can do it. In the meantime, the best thing you can do is try and catch my stream when i'm live :)

I'm currently missing some of these cards, so I threw in a Baron Rivendare to fill out the final slot. do you think this is a value add in this deck?

Baron is fairly weak for the same reason that Feign Death is, the actual Deathrattles in the deck are not that spectacular, i'd just go for another solid Deathrattle minion like a Harvest Golem or Mech Yeti if you're missing a card around that point in the curve.

This deck is insane. biggrin.png Since I started playing it I am more than 75% wins. I have claimed the ladder from rank 15 to rank 9 as for now.

Just want to tell you that this deck is awesome. started at rank 20, now im at rank 10 with maybe 4 losses total. To everyone saying this is pure luck, its not true,. i won most of my games without even drawing undertaker at all. you just need to know when to hit face (actually most of the time). and DON'T BE AFRAID to use your weapon to hit face even when opponent has minions on board. i won 3/10 games just because few turns earlier i decided to go for face with Glaivezooka.
Im looking forward to more of your guides. this deck opened my eyes and made me buy naxx and play hunter.
Cheers!

I found this one better: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/136213-gvg-face-hunter-season-9-legend-24-na

I mean, with this deck I couldn't go more than rank 10, but with the one from that link I got to 3.

But that is a face hunter deck, this one has a little midrange style. ^^

These are some examples how hunter decks can be now. For example the mech cancer from trump(more like zoo type):

http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/148657-mechanical-cancer-by-trump

or this control deathrattle:

http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/139249-spark-explosive-snipe-s9

Even I made a deck which is so much fun! Have a look:

http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/149024-sniping-yah-azz

With this one I won always with Gahz'rilla combos, always 24/48 instant damage to the face.

Hunter is so viable right now. There are so many types of decks we can make. Deathrattle, control, zoo, beast synergy type, not only the same undertaker style always.

I am still looking forward to see the future IcyVeins hunter decks!

By the way, don't take it the wrong way, I don't say this deck is not good. I am just saying that... we really need to let the poor Undertaker take some rest and try something different. It is not a dream now, Hunter is viable as Control atm. I just wanted to show you some examples of decks. I hope you didn't misunderstood. ^^

Well, as I mentioned earlier I made the climb from Rank 4 to Legend in a single day with this deck, which is pretty insane without access to winstreaks, so I still believe it to be extremely powerful.

But, you'll be pleased to hear a Control Hunter deck is submitted, reviewed and now just awaiting posting :)

By the way, sorry for the double-post, but you really should think of including explosiv trap instead of freazing trap in this deck, in my opinion. Because of the meta. I always find myself fighting against too many 2-health guys with no answer to them. Because this deck is not so aggro like the title says. Is more midrange, and without the explosiv removal, you will always find yourself owned by a horde of 2-health minions... like I said, because of the freakin mech-meta.

I don't have Eaglehorn Bow, I replaced it with Harvest golem, like in my previous hunter deck (with which I reached lvl 5 without much effort but I was stuck at lvl 3 when I tried to climb higher). I would like to know if this is the least worst option to replace the bow or do you have another suggestion that would reasonnably compensate this card ?

And would still rank this deck legend without the bow ?

Hearthstone is taking a bold step into the StarCraft universe with "Heroes of StarCraft: The Great Dark Beyond," a 49-card mini-set launching in January 2025.
Featuring iconic factions like Zerg, Protoss, and Terran, complete with legendary leaders Sarah Kerrigan, Artanis, Jim Raynor, this set blends StarCraft nostalgia with Hearthstone's gameplay.
Additionally, Arena Mode is getting a massive overhaul, introducing shorter Normal Arena runs and a high-stakes Underground Arena with a game matching "re-draft on loss" mechanic, giving you the option to re-draft cards, edit your deck, and keep your run alive, after you lose.
The year ahead promises 3 expansions, including the Emerald Dream's battle between Old Gods and Druids, a return to Un'Goro Crater, and a Chromie-led journey through alternate realities.

Hearthstone: Heroes of StarCraft – The Great Dark Beyond Mini-Set
Early next year, Hearthstone is going beyond Warcraft and into... Heroes of StarCraft! This special Mini-Set will have a whopping 49 new cards across three themed factions, which show what the StarCraft universe would look like in the Hearthstone Tavern. Each faction is made up of cards that can be used across multiple classes, including an iconic Hero card.
       Zerg
Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Hunter, and Warlock have joined the Zerg! Led by the formidable  Sarah Kerrigan, they will have aggressive cards that win the game by swarming the board.
       Protoss
Druid, Mage, Priest, and Rogue fight for the Protoss Empire. Led by the High Templar Artanis, they will have powerful, high-cost cards that are made cheaper throughout the game.
       Terran
Paladin, Shaman, and Warrior make up the Terran forces, led by the one and only Jim Raynor. They will command Battlecruisers—a special take on the Starship mechanic from The Great Dark Beyond.
The Mini-Set will feature a slew of StarCraft units which are sure to invoke nostalgia, as well as the Terran-armored Murloc, Grunty, and new, thematic music. You can chart a course for the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set, launching in January 2025! More announcements, details, and card reveals are coming closer to launch.
       Major Arena Updates
Then, for the first time in 10 years, Arena Mode is getting a major overhaul. With that update, there will be two kinds of Arena to choose from. Normal Arena will be shorter form, allowing you to complete your runs more quickly. Competitive Arena players will be able to play in the higher-stakes Underground Arena, with longer runs and a new feature: Re-Draft on Loss. Re-Draft on Loss means that, after you lose, you’ll have the option to re-draft cards, edit your deck, and keep your run alive.
Ratings will also be added to both Normal and Underground Arena. Normal, skill-based matchmaking will be used for Normal Arena. Underground Arena throws caution to the wind and lets you face off against opponents of all skill levels.
This major Arena revamp is coming in the first half of next year. Look out for more details about this update closer to when it goes live.
A Preview of the Year Ahead: The Year of the Raptor!
On top of those updates, Hearthstone has an exciting year of expansions ahead, with much-requested themes, locations, and familiar faces across Azeroth.
In the first expansion of the year, enter the Emerald Dream and join the battle between the Old Gods and the Druids of the Emerald Dream for the fate of the World Tree. Things will heat up even more when the Druids of the Flame light up the Mini-Set (releasing earlier than normal this year, during the 32.2 Patch).
The second expansion of the year will be Hearthstone’s first-ever sequel: the return to Un’Goro Crater! Join Elise on a hunt for a mythical, lost Tortollan city. When you find it, join the Tortollans in a festival to celebrate the mighty dinosaurs of the crater in the 33.4 Mini-Set.
In the third expansion of the year, travel with Chromie through alternate realities to recruit Legendary Warcraft heroes like you’ve never seen them before. Leading to the 34.4 Mini-Set: an epic showdown against Murozond at the end of time!
