Icy veins + mirror image

Hi mages,

 

I just read in the mage guide the following about combining Icy veins and mirror image :

 

So, you want to keep Icy Veins up for the whole duration of your Mirror Images. With a bit of luck, you can achieve that simply by consuming your charges of Fingers of Frost. Otherwise, cast Ice Lance 3 times in a row if Icy Veins' remaining duration happens to drop under 6 seconds.

 

Since you mirror images last 40 sec and icy veins 20 sec, I don't understand what is meant by "with a bit of luck, you can achieve [...]".

 

Can someone please clarify?

Nevermind, I didn't pay attention it applies to thermal void :) And they explain after : "delaying Mirror Image so that it can be cast with Icy Veins".
