2 Questions relating to opener

1. Do you Frost Bomb on your Prismatic Crystal or on the boss?

 

2. Do you Frozen Orb before casting Crystal or after?

3. Should I cast 2-4 Frostbolts to gain a full set of Icicles before I use my opener?

1. Since in the opening sequence Frost Bomb is BEFORE PC, you could not even possibly cast it on the crystal, which you should never ever do anyway. :)

 

2. Ehhwww... Well the guide says use PC first... But I disagree with that. Casting a non damaging spell, which even has a travel time, while PC is up is a DPS loss. So use FO first.

 

3. Doesn't matter. Jsut start your opening burst immediately.

They do, yes.

 

MI have like 1 second "arming period", thus it's better to cast MI and then IV.

FB the crystal rather than the boss when the cleave is very weird. Examples for this is the giant boss in Blackrock Foundry, Kargath who can possibly fixate and you lose a bit of time there, maybe Brackenspore in certain situations etc. Most math shows that casting on PC or the boss isn't really a huge difference. The damage you lose from a potential cast is gained at the end by the 10% extra damage on Fbomb.

Btw when there are more than 1 target ALWAYS Frostbomb the crystal.

Don't forget to water jet as you precast the frostbolt to get you great burst at the start. By the time PC phase is over your water jet should almost be back up.
