Gnar 26 Report post Posted December 16, 2014 Conquest has put some new trinkets on the table at 660 ilvl. Primal Gladiator's Insignia of Dominance has caught my eye. Yes, I may be insane but I wanna pair this with my Sandman since I don't have gold or luck in heroic. My questions: 1) Has anyone done this pair and do the procs usually line up or am I gonna ditch this combo fast? 2) Should I consider using a trinket other than Sandy limited to dungeon blues? 3) Should I bother getting this trinket (it's pretty fat so I can guess the answer is yes). 4) Glyph DS with this combo or nah? Thanks for the brainstorming in advance.
Mikedawg 4 Report post Posted December 16, 2014 Does that trinket really only give 53 Versatility? :x
Astynax 24 Report post Posted December 16, 2014 The int proc is what you're looking for. The issue is, we don't have an ICD/RPPM for it, so we can't tell what we gain by it without real word tests. IF the proc rate is good enough, it's worthwhile despite of the absolute garbage tacked on as a constant.
Gnar 26 Report post Posted December 16, 2014 Pretty sure i read something about the 660 budget not eing correct and that was gonna be changed. Might be referring to this but regardless I'm more interested in the proc.
Gnar 26 Report post Posted December 16, 2014 Hmm last time it was linked to e by a friend it had 55 sec ICD
Zagam 1,982 Report post Posted December 16, 2014 It's a very easy to obtain trinket in that you can just farm 2s until you have enough points. Find yourself a DK, Feral Druid, or Rogue to hammer out some wins and upgrade. PvP gear is very good to fill holes in your gear until you get heroic gear. Gnar 26 Report post Posted December 16, 2014 Ok so I'm pretty much certain I'll pick it up. But only support I have for the minute ICD is a wowhead comment and my boomie friend who does his homework. DS glyph make sense under those assumptions?
Gnar 26 Report post Posted December 16, 2014 Also this is Aff Destro mostly
Zagam 1,982 Report post Posted December 16, 2014 I'd hold off on the glyph and still take trinkets. 55 sec ICD is likely to line up in your favor. It's unlikely for it to proc every 55 seconds and has a much more reliable proc rate around every 60-65 sec.
Gnar 26 Report post Posted December 16, 2014 Alrifght I'll give that try probably tomorrow. Would have the trinket today but... Poundfist.
spikeysquad 50 Report post Posted December 17, 2014 I only have the 620 pvp trinket but have to say I adore it and the 660 one can only be better.
Gnar 26 Report post Posted December 18, 2014 (edited) I can confirm the ICD on the trinket is 55 sec and its proc is near immediate from the addition of procing of Soul Link healing. Also procs off Burning Rush (again because of Soul Link) making pull timers a little later than usual, lol. Really a good trinket and I got to replace my unupgraded Sandy with the Twins trinket so I'm a happy camper. I can also confirm the tooltip is accurate but the trinket is by no means bad because of its low passive boost. Mikedawg 4 Report post Posted December 19, 2014 (edited) So it shows on the armory as giving a huge amount of intellect. Have you tried unequipping it and seeing what it does? I was looking at the highest ranking warlocks in the world and one of them uses it, so it might be actually a really great item and not just one for the unlucky and poor. Edit: Whoops well you said the tooltip is accurate. That's interesting. I might get one anyway, but it's strange that he isn't using something else. I'd assume a 5/7M guild could afford a rank 3 Sandman or a Copeland's... And now he's got a rank 3 Sandman's on. I guess he was just trying it out.
