Limmerlein 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2014 Good morning guys, Today I simmed MM and BM for me without any changes in gear or enchants. MM was Limmerlein_Active : 27621 dps and BM was Limmerlein_Active : 27597 dps how can that be? Any ideas? Armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/de/character/anetheron/Limmerlein/advanced Thanks and have a good day everyone. Limmerlein
Iridar 80 Report post Posted December 23, 2014 (edited) Why not? Spec DPS preference is dictated by your gear. Your gear seems to be equally good for both specs. Nothing weird here. Edited December 23, 2014 by Iridar
Limmerlein 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2014 Thought BM was weaker, but was wrong eventually. Reenchanting now and testing SV then
Iridar 80 Report post Posted December 23, 2014 Currently "best spec" is a very personal question. MM in best MM gear might be better or worse than BM in best BM gear. But since we don't have instant access to best gear, we have to test individually, which spec is better for MY gear. Of course, there are certain variables, like crafted gear and food/gems/enchants. Limmerlein 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2014 After changing enchants and gems, I simmed for SV and got Limmerlein_Active : 27225 dps Having 10% Sniper Training dmg increase in MM and low uptime of it on emperor HC for example, I am wondering if SV will pull ahead on this fight. The only time one spec pull drastically in front of the other two right now is if you have the absolutely perfect, BiS gear for that spec (e.g. all Crit for MM, all MS for SV, etc.). If you have a mix, like most of us, all three specs are going to be within about 5% of each other, depending on your individual stats, of course. SO don't feel presurred into any spec right now unless your sim shows it pulling really far ahead. I personally made the switch from MM to SV simply to not have to worry about ST during progression (getting Arcane Shot back was nice as well).
