Help! My DPS needs fixing and i'm stuck!

Question (BE VERY SPECIFIC): My AOE damage is... reasonable, but feel it could be higher, my single target is absolute rock bottom, especially on Imperator or movement based fights. Essentially my DPS isn't where I want it to be, especially for my ilvl. Lots of logs have been taken in heroic/ mythic so there's a lot to look through if anyone can help and give me some pointers as to where i'm going wrong.

I looked at the most recent Imperator kill (https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/4aDLxzwNFmMHkrJV#fight=27&type=damage-done&source=8) and the biggest issue I see is with Defile usage. Just 9 defiles in a 10:37 fight is only half as many times as you could have used it. Also, generally blood boil comes out much higher as a damage contributor for me because you can absolutely go to town with BB in Phase4 and also while coming out of intermissions if the adds are still alive.
