Orthios 271 Report post Posted January 5, 2015 Just started using Simcraft, When I use simulate to see my DPS there is also a square that says DPS range, does anyone know what that means? If you mouse over it and click, it gives you an explanation: Range This is the range of values containing 95.00% of the data, roughly centered on the mean. Brady84 4 Report post Posted January 5, 2015 (edited) if it runs the simulation 10000 times RNG says your going to have runs will silly low and silly high dps, these are pretty much ignored (because there 0.0001% chance of happening) and they work it out from the 95% of runs closest to the average EDIT: Technically if you simulate it enough you will have a run where every single attack crits & double multistrikes (or adversly you get 0 crit or ms) its just not realistic to count them in a comparison Edited January 5, 2015 by Brady84
Silverwhisp 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2015 I just don't get if it means that's what it thinks my average dps will be or if it means something else :/
Paloro 39 Report post Posted January 6, 2015 Given the fight constraints that YOU set up before hitting simulate (fight length/length variance/lag/skill level etc). The number that is spit out is the average (mean) dps that you will expect to see.
