flimboo 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2015 Hello, so I started WoD playing monk healer and I had a great time but as my guild progress, am seeing a gap in my healing and others are outhealing me by 10k+. am not sure whats wrong. since its hard to get an optimized gear, i know that my gear is not high on multistrik. this is my armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/tarren-mill/Tineen/simple I am wearing this neck : Champion's Medallion and this ring : this is a recent log of mine: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/gxCPD4N7GYRfaZKb/#type=healing&source=
Lothrandir 12 Report post Posted January 6, 2015 The Butcher is a difficult fight to truly shine in as a MW monk, but I'd suggest you focus more on single-target heals than on your AoE heals. Monks are truly awesome as AoE healers atm, but The Butcher is not an AoE healing fight, since the number of people taking damage is limited. Try spending more of your Chi on EM on the gusing wounds targets; that would probably help a bit, but really, just accept what Butcher is and look forward to the last three bosses, where MWs are very strong
Mistfury 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2015 Hi Im new to The forum But i wanted to share my 2 cent: 1) whats your Role? If u want to maximize tour performance u scould be assigned at one of The 2 mellee group. Ur Main chi generator will be rushing Jade wind, spread your renewing mist as much as you can and keep n eye on The tanks. Thats what i do usually. Note: rushing Jade wind is heavy on mana, keep It up mainly on 2nd n 3d stack of debuff.

Lothrandir 12 Report post Posted January 8, 2015 It depends. If your group is able to pretty much get all versions of Tectus down before they really start to do Tectonic Upheaval, your entire AoE toolbox is pretty much useless, and this turns it in to much the same as the Butcher, with sporadic damage, and not a lot if ppl generally execute properly. However, if you take a lot of that ability, your Uplift is very low. Then you should be aiming at having ReM rolling on everybody and do uplifts for Chi, supplemented by RJW, as much as you can afford to. Since a major component of a MW's AoE healing is from Uplift, which scales with raid size, you will see smaller numbers from it than you would in e.g. a 22 man raid, where it truly starts to shine. The recommendation here is (afair) when 6 ppl with ReM have taken damage, then use Uplift. This situation is much more likely to occur with larger raids, than with 11m so that could be some of it also. But as mentioned, depends on how you handled the major AoE component of this fight. Spec into RJW and move so both groups are in its range. They should always be close enough for Barrier/Healing Rain/Spirit link/RJW/Whatever anyway Edited January 21, 2015 by Spinandwin
