Lockybalboa 618 Report post Posted January 15, 2015 also should i trust to askmrrobot No. I would take CC. The ability to use my own proc > 5ilvl.
Rhewar 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2015 (edited) No. I would take CC. The ability to use my own proc > 5ilvl. but i have also shard of nothing.I don't know what to do actually :D Edited January 15, 2015 by Rhewar

Ozbaab 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2015 (edited) You can edit the stat weights on askmrrobot, which is a must tbh as it thinks that haste is the best stat for demo. EDIT: They've updated the weights now. Edited January 15, 2015 by Ozbaab
Rhewar 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2015 (edited) Exacly. You can edit the stat weights on askmrrobot, which is a must tbh as it thinks that haste is the best stat for demo. EDIT: They've updated the weights now. Exactly. That's why i asked for it. Also should i rise my haste to %8.5 with decreasing crit or stay with %5. Twinkielock 15 Report post Posted January 15, 2015 I know haste isn't ideal, but I have the on-use haste trinket. Should I gem haste just to get the most use out of it?
Lockybalboa 618 Report post Posted January 15, 2015 I know haste isn't ideal, but I have the on-use haste trinket. Should I gem haste just to get the most use out of it? ...what? Why would you stack a fairly meh stat in order to make it better? If you have 2ft of dog shit and stack 1ft more on top of it, all you have is 3ft of dog shit - not xft of gold. Twinkielock 15 Report post Posted January 15, 2015 It's because my trinket is dog shit, and trying to make it smell slightly better.
Lockybalboa 618 Report post Posted January 15, 2015 Naw man, if there was a haste break point you were close to or something then it *might* be worth it. But since BPs have been removed then there isn't any point in to trying to shine up a turd. BRF is out soon, all your problems will be solved then. Rhewar 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2015 Shards + 3/3 Sandman with DS and Imp Swarm macro'd with the Shards simmed the highest for me. i think copeland better because sandman proc can be annoying.
iriecolorado 3 Report post Posted January 15, 2015 i think copeland better because sandman proc can be annoying. Dual on-use and the 20 second shared cooldown is a non-starter for me. With a little luck and timing I can have DS/Imp Swarm/Void Shards/Nightmare Fire up for a dump. No amount of luck will make that work with dual on-use. Twinkielock 15 Report post Posted January 15, 2015 So Copelands just fell in my lap. I might resell it, but I was wondering does it play nice with the On Use haste trinket?
iriecolorado 3 Report post Posted January 15, 2015 (edited) So Copelands just fell in my lap. I might resell it, but I was wondering does it play nice with the On Use haste trinket? If you've got two on-use trinkets activating one will set off a 20 second cooldown on the other. If your goal is to line up every proc you can for a major resource dump you'll find that dual on-use is wholly incompatible with that idea. Something like: #showtooltip Dark Soul: Knowledge /use 13 /use 14 /cast Imp Swarm /cast Blood Fury /cast Dark Soul: Knowledge Should see them alternate for each 1 minute DS+DB dump though, and that could be interesting. Personally, I prefer one one-use and double static int trinkets. Edited January 15, 2015 by iriecolorado
Faowulf 5 Report post Posted January 16, 2015 (edited) So I got myself a mythic shards trink last night in raid. I have the 670 Sandmans and a Copelands as well. I primarily run Demo/Destro. What would be all of your opinions on what to use? I was thinking Shards+Copelands for Demo. Copelands during DB burn phases and shards for fury building. As for Destro I'm completely torn on what to do. Any and all help greatly appreciated! Edited January 16, 2015 by Faowulf
Paracel 165 Report post Posted January 16, 2015 Never deny the possibilites of dat stupid bitchy RNG Nightmare fire proc coming out in the burn phase.Critting DBs... ...I wouldn't use Shards for Demo, if you have the alternative. And absolutely no shards for Destro. Makes a little sense.
Stunlocked 8 Report post Posted January 16, 2015 And absolutely no shards for Destro. Makes a little sense. I have it for Destro, but RNG hasn't been kind to me. For Destro a 670 Shards is better than a 645 Garrison mission trinket...

That's for sure, if we talk 645 statstone. I ment in comparision to Sandman/Copeland/Runestone Not being dependant on dat stupid RNG feels sooooooooooo nice.... Ozbaab 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2015 (edited) Have the same problem as some people here already mentioned. I also have copeland, 670 sandman's, and now mythic shard. A friend in guild said that sandman's is currently buged in simulationcraft so I don't know if I should trust my sims here, what do you think? Sandman + Shard is simulating 30303 dps Copeland + Shard is simulating 29855 dps Copeland + Sandmand is simulating 29443 DPS So.. What would you do? I mean it's quite of a bump in dps not using Copeland Edited January 20, 2015 by Ozbaab
Radon 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2015 Thanks for posting your sim results Ozbaab, I was thinking about the same thing tonight and here are my results (I also included affli+destro for completeness): 30306 Demo_SP+SoN 30220 Demo_CC+SoN 29370 Demo_CC+SP 28331 Affli_SP+SoN 27732 Affli_CC+SoN 27359 Affli_CC+SP 27871 Destro_SP+SoN 27654 Destro_CC+SP 27080 Destro_CC+SoN So it seems that SP+SoN is indeed the strongest combination for all specs, although the difference to 2nd ranked combination is very small für demo and destro. But your numbers are somewhat different concerning the distance 1st to 2nd ranked combinations. Besides that there has been a topic in Dec on trinkets and simcraft: https://www.icy-veins.com/forums/topic/8116-trinkets/ which states, that mythic Shards of Nothing was strongest of these three trinkets for all specs, ranking Sandmans Pouch 2nd for Demo and Affli. For Destro Copelands was 2nd, but then there is this double on-use problem which makes the combination with SoN less attractive. And meanwhile haste got only stronger while the trinkets dont have any mastery, so for demo the trinket ranking should be unchanged. And concerning scalings, dont underestimate haste as demo, it is pretty much as imporant as mastery. Scale factors for me are: Demo_SP+SoN Int=5.37(0.07) SP=4.73(0.07) Crit=2.53(0.07) Haste=3.27(0.07) Mastery=3.52(0.07) Mult=2.59(0.07) Vers=2.16(0.07)
Hybrex 1 Report post Posted January 24, 2015 I prefer Quiescent Runestone and SoN for Demo/Aff This isn't because I dont have the others, I do have a Copelands and also a 3/3 Sandmans, Statstick/SoN comes out best for me in sims and also playstyle. Middari 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2015 I have been running Heroic Runestone + Mythic Shards as Demo and Aff. For aff this set up has been amazing. For demo I have been wondering why my demonbolts were capping at 250/260k. Because of the weak demonbolts, I decided last night on Koragh to try Copelands + Mythic Shards as Demo. Boy... my dps increased by a large margin. I finally started seeing these 300k+ demonbolts. My highest hit on the night was 375.6k. I highly recommend using Copelands as demo. The 2 on-use was not a problem at all, and those gloriously huge demonbolts become possible.

I tried switching my 670 Sandman's with Copeland's (don't have runestone), but all I got was higher overall demonbolts, but lower DPS..
