Bennett Guide and Best Builds for Genshin Impact
Bennett is a 4-Star Pyro Support in Genshin Impact who focuses on both healing and buffing your party's Attack. Most importantly, is considered to be one of the most versatile supports in the entire game.
Bennett Strengths and Weaknesses
- Incredibly Powerful Attack buffs
- Consistent healing
- Can be used in many different team compositions
- Easy to build
- Holding his Elemental Skill causes knockback
- C6 Bennett can be detrimental to some teams, while great in others
Pure Support Bennett Build
Building Bennett purely as a support simply means focusing entirely on his healing and damage-increasing capabilities. Therefore, making him much easier to build but losing some of his personal damage.

Due to Bennetts' skill and burst scaling, HP and Energy Recharge are all that is needed. ER to make his burst occur frequently and HP for healing. Bennett's damage buff from Fantastic Voyage scales entirely off of his base attack and the base attack of his weapon. Therefore, any weapon with a high base attack is valuable.
Additionally, you can change your sands to have an HP % main stat instead of Energy Recharge if you feel you have no energy issues. In terms of Talent Priority, Normal Attacks are not needed and can be ignored.
Burst Support Bennett Build
Unlike Pure Support Bennett, Burst Support instead removes any potential excess healing to help increase more damage. Therefore Bennett is built with entirely different main stats such as Attack, Pyro DMG and CRIT to increase his DPS.

Depending on substat RNG, Energy Recharge may be needed as the main stat of your Sands piece until you farm additional artifacts. Compared to the first build this build will have less healing in exchange for personal damage.
The exact amount of Energy Recharge depends on your party composition, any weapons that generate Energy Recharge as well as how often you use Passion Overload between Bursts. With 2 Pyro characters in your party you will often want around 150-200%, with just Bennett you want around 250%.
Combos and How to Play Bennett
Bennett is an incredibly easy character to play, simply tap his Elemental Skill, Passion Overload, to gain energy and then set his Elemental Burst to buff and heal your party. Passion Overload is also great to break Cryo shields due to its low cooldown.
You do need to consider the placement of his Elemental Burst, Fantastic Voyage. Once placed, the effects of Fantastic Voyage will only apply while inside of the AoE. Depending on your Energy Recharge, you may need to use Passion Overload 2+ times per rotation.
Bennett's Best Team Comps
Due to how versatile Bennett is, it often becomes a question of what team compositions does he not fit into especially because he fits the role of both a healer and a buffer. Nevertheless listed below are a few of the most popular examples using Bennett.
National and International Teams
Main DPS | Sub DPS | Sub DPS | Support |
---|---|---|---|
Raiden Shogun | Xingqiu | Xiangling | Bennett |
Tartaglia | Sucrose | Xiangling | Bennett |
The National team is a popular team composition involving Xingqiu, Xiangling, Bennett and a Main DPS in the flex position. While there are a range of variants, the above 2 using Raiden Shogun and Childe are generally the strongest. With Raiden Shogun's team commonly being referred to as National, and Childe's team being referred to as International and uses Sucrose instead of Xingqiu.
Bennett is incredibly useful here due to providing Pyro resonance for Xiangling as well as increasing the damage for each character. Paired with Xingqiu they easily provide enough healing for the party.
Ganyu Melt Team
Main DPS | Sub DPS | Support | Support |
---|---|---|---|
Ganyu | Xiangling | Bennett | Zhongli |
Many of Ganyu's compositions react with Pyro to create a Melt reaction, Bennett therefore helps by providing Pyro application alongside Xiangling as well as damage buffs from Resonance and Fantastic Voyage.
Wanderer Hypercarry Team
Main DPS | Support | Support | Support |
---|---|---|---|
Wanderer | Faruzan | Layla | Bennett |
This is one example of a standard Hypercarry team for Wanderer. Using Faruzan's Wind Realm of Nasamjnin and The Wind's Secret Ways to increase Anemo damage, Bennett for healing and Fantastic Voyage and Layla for shielding.

Bennet's Constellations
Grand Expectation, C1, is the best constellation for Bennett due to it removing the restrictions of their kit and additionally providing more of a damage buff. Other constellations are helpful, but no where near as useful.
Is Bennett's C6 Worth It?
Fire Ventures with Me is a divisive Constellation in the community. On one hand, the infusion or damage can be useful to your party and on the other hand, it can ruin physical builds or replace the infusion of a character. For the majority of characters, it does not matter or their physical build would be weaker than other builds anyway. Many infusions can not be replaced either.
# | Name | Explanation |
---|---|---|
C1 | Grand Expectation | Fantastic Voyage's ATK increase no longer has an HP restriction, and gains an additional 20% of Bennett's Base ATK. |
C2 | Impasse Conqueror | When Bennett's HP falls below 70%, his Energy Recharge is increased by 30%. |
C3 | Unstoppable Fervor |
|
C4 | Unexpected Odyssey |
|
C5 | True Explorer |
|
C6 | Fire Ventures with Me | Sword, Claymore, or Polearm-wielding characters inside Fantastic Voyage's radius gain a 15% Pyro DMG Bonus and their weapons are infused with Pyro. |
