Talent Priority
  1. Elemental Burst
  2. Elemental Skill
  3. Normal Attack

With Candace having incredibly high Energy Recharge requirements, her best weapons tend to be those which help to ease this. Favonius Lance is therefore her best weapon for most situations. Alternatively, if you are aiming to increase her personal DMG, you can use weapons such as Staff of Homa or Engulfing Lightning.

Candace's best artifact sets are Emblem of Severed Fate and Noblesse Oblige. Emblem is generally the best allowing you to effectively use the 4-piece bonus of the artifact set as well as heavily benefitting from the +20% Energy Recharge. Noblesse however can be a great option in teams that want a lot of ATK%.

Candace's most important Talent is her Elemental Burst which is the focus of most of her supportive utility. Her Elemental Skill can also be useful to level but it is not worth levelling her Normal Attacks when played off-field.

3.1.

Candace's Energy Recharge Requirements

Candace has incredibly high Energy Recharge requirements with her Elemental Skill only generating 2-3 particles. As a result of her low personal DPS you also do not want to be funnelling particles to her either which only increases her requirements further.

Your Energy Recharge requirements will depend on how menu Hydro characters you have in your team as well as if you use her Elemental Skill once or twice in a rotation.

1 Skill 2 Skill
1 Hydro 280-300% 250-270%
2 Hydro 240-260% 200-220%
3 Hydro 200-220% 170-190%

Candace Combos and Skills Explained

Candace's Elemental Skill Sacred Rite: Heron's Sanctum has 2 different modes with different uses:

  • Tap - Dashes forward dealing Hydro in front of Candace.
  • Hold - Allows candace to block incoming attacks. The shield is also charged for a period of time, when released or when the shield is broken she will deal AoE Hydro DMG in front of herself. This charges instantly with her A1 Aegis of Crossed Arrows.

Tapping the Skill generates 2 Energy particles while Holding the skill generates 3 instead.

Candace's Elemental Burst Sacred Rite: Wagtail's Tide is the main way in which she helps to support your team. This provides the "Prayer of the Crimson Crown" buff to your active character.

This buff allows your active character to deal increased Elemental DMG with their Normal Attacks, deals AoE Hydro DMG periodically and also provides an Elemental Infusion to applicable characters.

5.

Candace's Best Team Comps

Candace's best team compositions tend to revolve around Bloom, Vaporize and Hyperbloom team compositions allowing us to utilise her AoE Hydro application.

5.1.

Arlecchino Vaporize

Main DPS Sub DPS Support Support
Arlecchino Candace Kaedehara Kazuha Bennett

This can be a great Arlecchino team, Candace provides enough Hydro application to allow Arlecchino to Vape as much as Yelan can in other team compositions for Arlecchino. While Yelan provides significantly higher amounts of off-field DMG, Candace instead provides a Normal Attack buff as well as AoE Hydro application which can turn her into a competitive option.

5.2.

Nilou Bloom

Main DPS Sub DPS Support Support
Nahida Candace Nilou Yaoyao

Candace can be great in Bloom teams especially with Yaoyao. This is because of Candace's Hydro Elemental Infusion which can be used with Yaoyao to provide more value while Yaoyao has to stay on field for 5 seconds during her Elemental Burst.

5.3.

Hyperbloom Candace Teams

Main DPS Sub DPS Support Support
Nahida Candace Baizhu Kuki Shinobu

Candace can also be played in Hyperbloom teams using characters such as Nahida and Baizhu for Dendro application. In this team, Kuki Shinobu provides more than enough Electro application to sustain Elemental Reactions.

Candace's Talents

Listed below is each talent alongside the talents explanation of how they work.

Type Talent Name Skill Explanation
Normal Normal Attack: Gleaming Spear – Guardian Stance

Normal Attack

Performs up to 4 consecutive spear strikes.

Charged Attack

Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to lunge forward, dealing damage to opponents along the way.

Plunging Attack

Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Elemental Skill Sacred Rite: Heron's Sanctum

Candace's fighting style is capable of warding off an entire tide of foes.

  • Tap - Rushes forward with her shield, dealing Hydro DMG to opponents in front of her.
  • Hold - Raises her shield to block incoming attacks from nearby opponents, forming a barrier that absorbs DMG based on her Max HP and absorbs Hydro DMG 250% more effectively. This barrier lasts until the Elemental Skill is unleashed. After holding for a certain period of time, Candace will finish charging, and when the skill button is released, the skill duration expires, or when the barrier is broken, she will perform a leaping strike that deals Hydro DMG to opponents in front of her.
Elemental Burst Sacred Rite: Wagtail's Tide

Raising her weapon on high, Candace calls upon a divine blessing that deals AoE Hydro DMG based on her Max HP and continuously confers the Prayer of the Crimson Crown on your active character.

Prayer of the Crimson Crown has the following properties:

  • Characters deal increased Elemental DMG with their Normal Attacks.
  • Whenever a character takes the field, they will unleash a rippling wave of water that deals Hydro DMG to nearby opponents. There is a limited number of waves that can be triggered in the duration of this skill.
  • Sword, Claymore, and Polearm-wielding characters under this effect will obtain a Hydro Infusion.
