Chasca Strengths and Weaknesses
- Unique take on Anemo gameplay allowing the DPS to fully take advantage of other Elements.
- Does not need to be accurate in aiming for bullets to hit enemies.
- Great attack range and can shoot from very far away.
- Incredible overworld mobility.
- Bullet order has elements of randomness making elemental reactions inconsistent.
- Unable to attack directly below her which creates issues with Bennet who is a great support for damage but encourages you to stay in a fixed position.
- Unable to activate the effects of characters such as Yelan and Xingqiu as well as the effects of some weapons such as Amos Bow.
- Elemental restrictions currently pigeonhole her into using Furina + Bennett in every ideal team, although this will likely change in the future.

Chasca's best artifact set is by far Obsidian Codex due to the significant buffs to your damage it provides. While Marechaussee Hunter can be a viable alternative when using Furina which often will be the case.
Astral Vulture's Crimson Plumage is by far her best weapon by a fair margin however other 5-Star and gacha 4-Star options can still be powerful such as Aqua Simulacra and Flower-Wreathed Feathers. Song of Stillness is Chasca's best F2P weapon.
Chasca's uses an ATK % goblet, this is because a large portion of her damage comes from a wide range of elements which would not benefit from a specific elemental DMG goblet. The only exception is a Pyro goblet if you are running a team with 2 Pyro characters which can be competitive and sometimes better depending on what substats it has.
Chasca generally wants around 150-170% Energy Recharge but it is generally recommended to simply burst every other rotation. Chasca's Elemental Burst is simply added damage and does not directly influence gameplay mechanics.
Chasca’s Combos and Playstyle Guide
Chasca Elemental Skill Spirit Reins, Shadow Hunt alows her to enter the Nightsoul's Blessing state to ride her gun. This allows for increased mobility even better than Wanderer as well as interruption resistance allowing her build to allow Chasca to focus entirely on damage. During this you can use the Normal Attack button in 2 different ways:
- Tap to deal Anemo DMG.
- Hold to enter aiming mode and to load her gun, allowing you to utilise her Shadowhunt Shells bullet mechanic.
Chasca's Elemental Burst Soul Reaper's Fatal Round immediately fires 6 shells from her Soulseeker Shells bullet mechanic.
Chasca's Bullet Mechanic Explained
Shadowhunt Shells is Chasca's main mechanic and the core of her rotation. When holding the Normal Attack during Nightsoul's Blessing, 6 bullets will be loaded and automatically fired. Bullets 4/5/6 will be converted into Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro (often referred to as PHEC) depending on who is in your party with 1 bullet for each element. Bullet 3 will also be converted thanks to Chasca's A1.
Chasca can still move and dodge attacks while loading shells but if the Normal Attack button is let go, it will immediately fire which you want to avoid.
Bullets fire in a "Last in, First out" order however the order that each element will be converted is random. There is no priority system meaning you can not control what reactions will take place or how those reactions will occur.
Soulseeker Shells is the equivalent while Chasca is using her Elemental Burst, the main difference is that 2 bullets will be converted into an element for each character instead of 1. The other difference is that bullets fired from Chasca's Elemental Burst are actual projectiles and can therefore miss.
Chasca Rotation Guide: How to Maximize Her DPS
Chasca's actual rotation is very simple. Start by using supports and buffs, use your Elemental Burst if available, use your Elemental Skill and then perform 4 fully loaded Charged Attacks.
- Use supports
- Soul Reaper's Fatal Round (If available)
- Spirit Reins, Shadow Hunt
- 4x Charged Attacks
- Repeat
Chasca Best Team Comps
Chasca exclusively wants characters who are Pyro, Hydro, Cryo and Electro. Due to her restrictions, this heavily encourages use of both Furina and Bennett which can be an issue due to them being widely used in other teams and also because alternative characters generally bring less damage. This is however, expected to change as more Natlan characters release.
Chasca, Bennett and Furina Team Compositions
Main DPS | Support | Support | Flex |
---|---|---|---|
Chasca | Furina | Bennett |
Listed below are Chasca's best teams using both Furina and Bennett. For the final slots, your best options tend to be Ororon or Xiangling with Xiangling being a bit of a double-edged sword. Pyronado can only attack the area under you which can lower your damage potential but at the same time, Chasca is unable to attack below herself which does give you options when having to stay in the circle with Bennett.
Shown below are examples of alternative replacements for Furina and Bennett if you do not have/do not want to use them in a Chasca team however, it can be a significant downgrade.

Chasca's Constellations
Every single one of Chasca's constellations has the potential to provide good power increases. Cylinder, the Restless Roulette (C1) and Muzzle, the Searing Smoke (C2) are especially great for teams that want to use 1 less PHEC character or have a little extra control of the reactions taking place. For players seeking to maximize her build, these constellations add flexibility to her rotations and amplify her DPS output.
C5 however does not provide a meaningful damage increase due to Chasca's Elemental Burst being used every other rotation most of the time. Showdown, the Glory of Battle (C6) is also a huge power spike worthy of being a C6.
# | Name | Explanation |
---|---|---|
C1 | Cylinder, the Restless Roulette |
When triggering the Passive Talent "Bullet Trick"'s "Spiritbinding Conversion," the 2nd Shadowhunt Shell loaded into the cylinder will be additionally converted into a Shining Shadowhunt Shell. The chance to trigger "Spiritbinding Conversion" is increased: If there are party members who meet the Elemental Conversion Type requirements, the chance to trigger "Spiritbinding Conversion" is increased by 33.3%, up to a maximum of 100%. You must first unlock the Passive Talent "Bullet Trick." In addition, Chasca's Nightsoul point and Phlogiston consumption in her Nightsoul's Blessing state is decreased by 30% while out of combat. |
C2 | Muzzle, the Searing Smoke |
When Chasca takes the field, she will obtain 1 stack of "Spirit of the Radiant Shadow" from the Passive Talent "Bullet Trick." You must first unlock the Passive Talent "Bullet Trick" for this effect. In addition, when the Shining Shadowhunt Shells from Spirit Reins, Shadow Hunt's Multitarget Fire hit opponents, they will deal AoE Elemental DMG of the corresponding Elemental Type of the Shining Shadowhunt Shells equal to 400% of Chasca's ATK. This DMG is considered Charged Attack DMG. This effect can be triggered once each time Chasca uses Multitarget Fire. |
C3 | Reins, Her Careful Control | Increases the Level of Spirit Reins, Shadow Hunt by 3. |
C4 | Sparks, the Sudden Shot | When the Radiant Soulseeker Shells from Soul Reaper's Fatal Round hit opponents, they will restore 1.5 Elemental Energy to Chasca, and deal AoE Elemental DMG of the corresponding Elemental Type of the Radiant Soulseeker Shells equal to 400% of Chasca's ATK. This DMG is considered Charged Attack DMG. The aforementioned corresponding elemental AoE DMG effect can be triggered once each time Chasca uses Soul Reaper's Fatal Round. |
C5 | Brim, the Sandshadow's Silhouette | Increases the Level of Soul Reaper's Fatal Round by 3. |
C6 | Showdown, the Glory of Battle |
Chasca's Multitarget Fire charge time is decreased, and after the Passive Talent "Bullet Trick"'s "Spiritbinding Conversion" is triggered, Chasca will gain the "Fatal Rounds" state: For the next 3s, the next time Chasca uses Spirit Reins, Shadow Hunt's Multitarget Fire, the shots will finish charging instantly, and the CRIT DMG of that instance of Multitarget Fire's Shadowhunt Shells and Shining Shadowhunt Shells increases by 120%. 1 "Fatal Rounds" effect can be gained once every 3s. |
