Dehya Build Guide, Best Artifacts, Weapons and Talent Priority

Dehya can be built in three different ways: as a Main DPS, Off-field DPS, or Off-field Support. All three will require you to build Dehya with different artifacts and weapons, and prioritize different stats. While we do recommend you go for the Support build, we will still go over the other two options in case you wish to build Dehya as an off-field DPS or Main DPS. Know that as a Main DPS she needs way more investment than as a support.

3.

Dehya's Build Options

Support Dehya Off-Field DPS Dehya Main DPS Dehya
3.1.

Support Dehya

BiS Weapon Favonius Greatsword
Alternative Weapons
  1. Portable Power Saw

Best Artifacts
  1. Tenacity of the Millelith

    2. CRIT Rate
    3. Elemental Mastery
    4. Energy Recharge
Talent Priority
  1. Elemental Skill
  2. Elemental Burst
  3. Normal Attack

For Dehya's Support build, her best-in-slot weapon would be Favonius Greatsword. This weapon will allows her to lower other teammate's energy requirements. You will need to build up some CRIT Rate for this weapon. Portable Power Saw is another great option for support Dehya, as it provides some HP with its base stat, and some Energy recharge and Elemental Mastery.

Dehya's best artifact set for a Support build is the Tenacity of the Millelith.

For a support Dehya build you need to build up her HP, as she will have to tank. Your Molten Inferno skill will mitigate the damage taken from others towards Dehya, so she will have to be able to take it. You should aim for around 50,000 HP.

As a Support, Dehya's build will mostly require her Elemental Skill to be upgraded. You can invest a bit in the Burst if you wish to use it, but you should rarely use anything else than her Elemental Skill as a support.

3.2.

Off-Field DPS Dehya

BiS Weapon Mailed Flower
Alternative Weapons
  1. Makhaira Aquamarine
  2. Rainslasher
  3. Bloodtainted Greatsword
  4. Earth Shaker
  5. Forest Regalia

Substat Priority
    1. Elemental Mastery
    2. Energy Recharge
    3. HP %
Talent Priority
  1. Elemental Skill
  2. Elemental Burst
  3. Normal Attack

For Dehya's Off-field DPS build, her best-in-slot weapon would be Mailed Flower. This weapon increases Dehya's Elemental Mastery, which she will primarily need for this build, as her role will be to help trigger Burgeon. Bloodtainted Greatsword is the best F2P option as it gives Elemental Mastery, and is easy to access.

Dehya's best artifact set for an Off-Field DPS build is the Flower of Paradise Lost. Gilded Dreams is a good alternative if you do not have any good Flower of Paradise Lost pieces.

You should aim for around 900 Elemental Mastery for Dehya's Off-Field DPS build.

Similar to the support build, as a Sub-DPS you will rarely use anything else than her Elemental Skill, so focus on that one first. We recommend you do upgrade your Burst a bit, as some teams you may want to use it in-between your main's bursts.

3.3.

Main DPS Dehya

BiS Weapon Beacon of the Reed Sea
Alternative Weapons
  1. Redhorn Stonethresher
  2. Wolf's Gravestone
  3. Skyward Pride
  4. The Unforged
  5. Blackcliff Slasher
  6. Serpent Spine
  7. Luxurious Sea-Lord
  8. Akuoumaru
  9. Tidal Shadow
  10. Katsuragikiri Nagamasa
  11. Favonius Greatsword
  12. Prototype Archaic
Best Artifacts
  1. Emblem of Severed Fate
  2. Vourukasha's Glow
  3. Marechaussee Hunter
Main Stats
  • Sand Stats: ATK % / Energy Recharge %
  • Goblet Stats: Pyro DMG
  • Circlet Stats: CRIT Rate / DMG
Substat Priority
    1. Energy Recharge until requirement
    2. CRIT Rate / DMG
    3. ATK %
    4. HP %
Talent Priority
  1. Elemental Burst
  2. Elemental Skill
  3. Normal Attack

For Dehya's Main DPS build, her best-in-slot weapon is Beacon of the Reed Sea. This weapon increases Dehya's ATK, and if she does not have a shield, it will further increase her HP, which will further boost her. The other weapons mentioned are all valuable for a Main DPS Dehya build. Prototype Archaic is easy to craft for F2P players.

Dehya's best artifact set for a Main DPS build is Emblem of Severed Fate. While Vourukasha's Glow technically provides Dehya with more damage, you may lack too much Energy Recharge with it.

Marechaussee Hunter should only be used if you play Dehya with Furina.

You will need around 200 % Energy Recharge for a Main DPS Dehya build. If you use favonius you can aim for 180 % only.

As Main DPS, you will have to focus on upgrading both your Elemental Burst and Skill.

4.

Dehya Combos and How to Play

Dehya's Elemental Skill Molten Inferno will summon a Pyro field called Fiery Sanctum. When enemies who are inside of the field take damage, it will launch a coordinated attack and deal AoE Pyro DMG. This DMG is based on Dehya's ATK and Max HP.

When your active character is inside the field and takes damage, Dehya will mitigate and take a portion of that damage instead. The active character inside the field also has increased resistance to interruption.

During her Burst, Leonine Bite, Dehya enters a Blazing Lioness state and continuously unleashes Pyro attacks. Her Burst is extremely expensive in terms of energy, and for Off-field Dehya and Support Dehya builds, you will rarely use it.

Dehya's rotation and playstyle slightly varies whether she is played as a Main DPS, off-field DPS, or Support.

As a Main DPS you will:

  • Use Molten Inferno
  • Swap to teammates and use their buffs/abilities
  • Swap back to Dehya and re-use Molten Inferno
  • Use Leonine Bite

When playing as an Off-field DPS and Support the rotation is fairly similar, but you will just not necessarily use her Burst Leonine Bite. As a Support you will really only switch her in to apply her Fiery Sanctum field so you can mitigate the incoming damage

As a Sub-DPS you will use Dehya's skill Molten Inferno to mainly trigger Burgeon. You will have to coordinate with your Dendro character to apply Dehya's skill when Dendro Cores are present. Since Dehya's skill takes a long time to apply Pyro, you can accumulate new Dendro cores until the Pyro field procs a second time.

5.

Dehya's Best Team Comps

Dehya functions the best as a Support. In order for her to do proper damage as main DPS, she needs an extremely good build, with extremely well built supports as well. The investment you have to put into Dehya to main her may be too much. Hence why we recommend you build her as a support. This allows you to use her in more various teams, as she will do a very good job, with a bit less investment. She functions well to support characters that are more sensible to interruptions, or that need Pyro application.

5.1.

Dehya Support Teams

Support Support Main DPS Sub DPS
Dehya Yelan Hu Tao
Dehya Chevreuse Arlecchino Fischl
Support Sub DPS Main DPS Sub DPS
Dehya Yelan Kinich Nahida
Dehya Yelan Yoimiya Xingqiu
Support Support Main DPS Support
Dehya Faruzan Wanderer Bennett
Dehya Bennett Lyney Kaedehara Kazuha

As a support, Dehya can fit in more teams, since her primary goal will be to mitigate the incoming damage from the main and Sub-DPS. You will only have to swap her in to apply her skill, and then she will have to tank the damage.

5.2.

Dehya Off-Field DPS Teams

Sub DPS Support Main DPS Sub DPS
Dehya Bennett Ganyu Nahida
Dehya Sangonomiya Kokomi Kamisato Ayato
Dehya Baizhu Alhaitham Yelan

As Sub-DPS, Dehya's goal is to mainly provide Pyro application through her Molten Inferno. She will not spend that much time on field, and serve as enabler for Burgeon, Melt, or other reactions that need Pyro application.

5.3.

Dehya Main DPS Teams

Main DPS Support Support Sub DPS
Dehya Bennett Kaedehara Kazuha Xiangling
Main DPS Support Sub DPS Sub DPS
Dehya Bennett Furina Xiangling

The triple Pyro team does a very good job as it accumulates buffs and Elemental abilities. Dehya does a great job as Main DPS on this team with Bennett and Kaedehara Kazuha will buff her and Bennett will also help with healing, while Xiangling will serve as a good Sub-DPS.

You can also use Furina instead of Kaedehara Kazuha if you want more damage on top of buffs.

Main DPS Support Support Sub DPS
Dehya Bennett Kaedehara Kazuha Nahida
Main DPS Support Sub DPS Sub DPS
Dehya Bennett Emilie Xiangling

Dehya as Main DPS can also function in Burning teams. Bennett is really required for Main DPS Dehya, he provides a real buff that allows Dehya to perform good. Dehya will be the Pyro enabler in those teams. Nahida and Emilie are two very good off-field Sub-DPS characters that are really good at applying Dendro.

Dehya Ascension Passives and Materials

Unlock Ascension Passive Explanation
With Character The Sunlit Way Increases the Movement SPD of your own party members by 10% during the day (6:00 – 18:00). Does not take effect in Domains, Trounce Domains, or Spiral Abyss. Not stackable with Passive Talents that provide the exact same effects.
1st Ascension Unstinting Succor

Within 6 seconds of Dehya retrieving the Fiery Sanctum field through Molten Inferno (Ranging Flame or Leonine Bite), she will take 60% less DMG when receiving DMG from Redmane's Blood. This effect can be triggered once every 2s.

Additionally, within 9s of Dehya unleashing Molten Inferno: Indomitable Flame, she will grant all party members the Gold-Forged Form state. This state will further increase a character's resistance to interruption when they are within the Fiery Sanctum field. Gold-Forged Form can be activated once every 18s.

4th Ascension Stalwart and True When her HP is less than 40%, Dehya will recover 20% of her Max HP and will restore 6% of her Max HP every 2s for the next 10s. This effect can be triggered once every 20s.

Dehya requires a range of materials to ascend to the 6th ascension. Starting from the second ascension she gains additional HP as she gains levels, giving a total of 28.8% HP at the final ascension. The total cost to upgrade all ascensions is as follows.

Dehya's Constellations

At C0, Dehya is rather behind compared to other characters. She will benefit from some of her contellations. Her C1 is already a very good boost in DMG and HP. Her C4 is the second best contellation as it will add to her survivability and reduce her needs in energy recharge. Her C6 is another good boost to Dehya's damage, but is not necessarly worth the investement. Since she is a standard banner character, obtaining her C6 can be complicated, so we do not recommend you invest specifically into it.

# Name Explanation
C1 The Flame Incandescent

Dehya's Max HP is increased by 20%, and she deals bonus DMG based on her Max HP when using the following attacks:

  • Molten Inferno's DMG will be increased by 3.6% of her Max HP;
  • Leonine Bite's DMG will be increased by 6% of her Max HP;
C2 The Sand-Blades Glittering When Dehya uses Molten Inferno: Ranging Flame, the duration of the recreated Fiery Sanctum field will be increased by 6s. Additionally, when a Fiery Sanctum exists on the field, DMG dealt by its next coordinated attack will be increased by 50% when active character(s) within the Fiery Sanctum field are attacked.
C3 A Rage Swift as Fire
  • Increases the Level of Leonine Bite by 3.
  • Maximum upgrade level is 15.
C4 An Oath Abiding When Flame-Mane's Fist and Incineration Drive attacks unleashed during Leonine Bite hit opponents, they will restore 1.5 Energy for Dehya and 2.5% of her Max HP. This effect can be triggered once every 0.2s.
C5 The Alpha Unleashed
  • Increases the Level of Molten Inferno by 3.
  • Maximum upgrade level is 15.
C6 The Burning Claws Cleaving The CRIT Rate of Leonine Bite is increased by 10%. Additionally, after a Flame-Mane's Fist attack hits an opponent and deals CRIT Hits during a single Blazing Lioness state, it will cause the CRIT DMG of Leonine Bite to increase by 15% for the rest of Blazing Lioness's duration and extend that duration by 0.5s. This effect can be triggered every 0.2s. The duration can be extended for a maximum of 2s and CRIT DMG can be increased by a maximum of 60% this way.
