Dori Guide and Best Builds for Genshin Impact
Dori is a 4-star Electro healer that oddly uses a claymore as a weapon. She has quite a flexible toolkit allowing to fill multiple roles such as a healer, battery and moderate reaction driver. This guide will focus on Dori's best builds, artifacts, weapons and best team compositions.
Strengths and Weaknesses
- Good Single Targer Healing.
- Elemental Burst provides Healing, Energy Regeneration and Applies Electro.
- Limited Off-field Ability.
- C6 is Needed for Reliable Electro Application.
Dori Support Build
Dori offers teams a solid heal rate based upon her HP stats and with proper artifact investment her healing can be quite powerful. She performs best with Cryo and Dendro elements, with her Elemental abilities giving a decent amount of Electro application against enemies. However, her C6 constellation grants Electro on all normal attacks, boosting her ability to trigger Elemental Reactions much higher.

Favonius Greatsword is a great choice for Dori, providing a significant increase to your Energy Recharge which helps fulfill her needed requirement of 160% as a minimum. As for her weapon alternatives, each of the listed weapons: Sacrificial Greatsword, Katsuragikiri Nagamasa and Forest Regalia, all offer increases to Energy Recharge as well. Dori is setup to focus on supporting her team with healing and a decent Electro application. This increases drastically if she is C6, but will still function well at her base constellation. Her damage is more of a minor component in this support build, however, she can have a decent amount of output in the right circumstances.
As for Dori's artifacts generally the 4-piece Ocean-Hued Clam is a great choice for healing and support, offering a needed damage hike as well. Alternatively, you can take the Gilded Dreams or Thundering Fury for focusing on Elemental Mastery as the next best choice. Lastly, the Noblesse Oblige set is another balanced set with a heavy focus on supporting other team members with a boost to ATK every time Dori uses her Elemental Burst.
Combos and How to Play Dori
Dori's playstyle centers around her Elemental Burst, Alcazarzaray's Exactitude, while her elemental skill, Spirit-Warding Lamp: Troubleshooter Cannon, provides a mediocre amount of Electro Damage. However, her Elemental Skill can be boosted from her first constellation, granting her the ability to apply Electro twice during her skill phase. Typically, Dori is played as a healer with her ability to apply Electro, usually only taken advantage of when she has completed her constellations at C6. This can lead many players to feel like her abilities are sub-par when compared to other Electro healers like Kuki Shinobu. However, if you do have Dori at C6 her Normal Attacks will become infused with Electro allowing her to become a strong Elemental Reaction driver.
Those without her C6 will have to rely on both her Elemental Skill, which recharges quite quickly, and her Elemental Burst to maintain any kind of Electro on the battlefield. As a healer, Dori's Elemental Burst offers constant healing based upon your position compared with her summoned Jinni. This applies to the active character only and does not effect any off-field members.
Dori's Best Team Comps
Dori can perform quite well with Dendro teams, even at C0. However, Dori's true potential is locked behind her C6 constellation which grants her normal attacks the Electro Element. With that in mind, we have chosen teams that aren't reliant on her being C6 and rather more focused into a support role with moderate Electro application.
Quickbloom Team
Support | Sub DPS | Sub DPS | Swirl |
---|---|---|---|
Dori | Xingqiu | Nahida | Jean |
This Quickbloom team has such fantastic synergy with a particularly helpful reaction between Dori and Jean. Jean not only brings Swirl to this team, but she can help with our Electro application but using her Elemental Burst and taking advantage of her self-applied Electro proc. Add Xingqiu and Nahida for creating Bloom seeds and this team is ready for action.
Quickswap Aggravate Team
Support | Sub DPS | Sub DPS | Support |
---|---|---|---|
Dori | Fischl | Nahida |
A very straight forward team focused on constant character swaps. Dori provides this team with heals and acts as a great battery for her teammates, helping to recharge skills nice and fast. Fischl will help to push our DPS up with a focus on the Aggravate reaction with our Dendro application coming from Nahida. We also add some Swirl on to the battlefield, along with buffs from our Anemo flex-slot of Kaedehara Kazuha or Sucrose.
Dori DPS Aggravate Team
Sub DPS | Buffer | Sub DPS | Buffer |
---|---|---|---|
Dori | Kujou Sara | Nahida | Kaedehara Kazuha |
This build focuses more on Dori's Damage output, rather than healing. Kaedehara Kazuha is a critical element in this build for pushing up the DPS to acceptable levels through his RES Shred and DMG buffs. Nahida brings some solid Dendro application helping to add to the Aggravate reactions. WKujou Sara brings an additional buff for Dori's DPS, boosting her Electro CRIT DMG and ATK power. Dori will be our main driver with her Elemental Burst, staying on-field while during her skill.
Dori's Ascensions, Talents, and Constellations
Dori Ascension Passives and Materials
Unlock | Ascension Passive | Explanation |
---|---|---|
With Character | Unexpected Order | Has a 25% chance to recover some of the materials used when crafting Character and Weapon Materials. |
1st Ascension | An Eye for Gold | After a character connected to the Jinni triggers an Electro-Charged, Superconduct, Overloaded, Quicken, Aggravate, Hyperbloom, or an Electro Swirl or Crystallize reaction, the CD of Spirit-Warding Lamp: Troubleshooter Cannon is decreased by 1s. This effect can be triggered once every 3s. |
4th Ascension | Compound Interest | When the Troubleshooter Shots or After-Sales Service Rounds from Spirit-Warding Lamp: Troubleshooter Cannon hit opponents, Dori will restore 5 Elemental Energy for every 100% Energy Recharge possessed. Per Spirit-Warding Lamp: Troubleshooter Cannon, only one instance of Energy restoration can be triggered and a maximum of 15 Energy can be restored this way. |
Dori requires a range of materials to ascend to the 6th ascension. Starting from the second ascension she gains additional HP as she gains levels, giving a total of 24% Bonus HP at the final ascension. The total cost to upgrade all ascensions is:

Dori's Talents
Listed below is each talent and a brief explanation of how they work.
Type | Talent Name | Brief Explanation |
---|---|---|
Normal | Normal Attack: Marvelous Sword- Dance (Modified) | Standard Normal Attack performs 3 consecutive strikes. Charged attack is a spinning attack against all nearby opponents, ending with a strong slash attack. Plunging Attacks strike the ground below, dealing AoE DMG upon impact. |
Elemental Skill | Spirit-Warding Lamp: Troubleshooter Cannon | Summons a Spirit-Warding Lamp to dealing Electro DMG against opponents. After the initial strike hits, it will create additional projectiles that will automatically track to nearby opponents for more Electro DMG. |
Elemental Burst | Alcazarzaray's Exactitude | Summons a Jinni inside of a lamp that creates an Electro connection with a nearby active character. This connection will continuously restore HP based upon Dori's Max HP, regenerate Energy and affect the character with Electro. When the connection beam touches any enemy it will deal Electro damage to them every 0.4s. |
To upgrade a single talent to level 10, it costs:

Dori's gameplay completely changes with her C6 constellation, adding Electro DMG to her normal attacks. While she can perform moderately well without her C6, she feels completely upgraded to a whole new level with it.
