Eula Guide and Best Builds for Genshin Impact
Eula is a 5-Star Cryo Claymore user in Genshin Impact who primarily focuses on dealing Physical damage instead of Elemental damage. This guide will focus on Eula's best builds, artifacts, weapons and best team compositions.
Eula Strengths and Weaknesses
Elemental Skill reduces Physical and Cryo RES on enemies.
Incredibly powerful Physical damage.
Easy to play around Superconduct Elemental Reactions.
Elemental Burst has high energy requirements often requiring a battery character.
Elemental Burst provides such a high amount of damage that it is a significant DPS loss if it misses or does not CRIT.
Lack of effective and varied units that can support Eula.
Eula Build Guide, Best Artifacts, Weapons and Talent Priority
Eula is built as an on-field Physical DPS while dealing a huge amount of her damage via the use of Eula's Elemental Burst.

Eula's best weapon is her signature weapon Song of Broken Pines, with it having an incredibly high base ATK and also providing Physical DMG % making it perfect for your build. Because Eula's build scales on ATK, there are a large amount of viable 5-star Claymores. Some 4-star options include Serpent Spine and also "Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword".
Build Eula with Pale Flame, it is by far Eula's best artifact set which was clearly made with her in mind. She can easily maintain the 2 stacks of 9% ATK increase making it easy for her to have the buffed 2-piece effect as a result.
Recommended Endgame Build Stats for Eula
Build recommendations assume a "decently built" level of artifact rolls alongside Eula's best weapon. Using other weapons may increase or decrease certain stats relative to these recommendations.
- HP: 18,000 - 21,000
- ATK: 2000 - 2400
- Energy Recharge: 120 - 150%
- CRIT Rate: 60 - 70%
- CRIT DMG: 130 - 155%
- Physical DMG: 83.3 - 104.0%
Combos and How to Play Eula
Eula's Elemental Skill Icetide Vortex can be pressed or held providing different effects accordingly. Pressing gives stacks of Grimheart while Holding uses the stacks to deal increased damage and lowering both the Physical and Cryo RES of enemies.
Eula's Elemental Burst Glacial Illumination is your main source of damage. Upon use, a Lightfall Sword will follow Eula for 7s. Attacks deals to opponents from Eula during this time will add a stack to the Lightfall Sword therefore increasing its Physical DMG at the end of the 7-second mark or when you swap to another character. This makes Eula's damage very backloaded, only occurring once a full rotation has been completed.
Eula's main combo to gain Lightfall stacks is:
- Icetide Vortex Tap
- Glacial Illumination
- Favonius Bladework - Edel x4
- Icetide Vortex Hold
- Favonius Bladework - Edel x4
With Attack SPD buffs, you can do alternate rotations such as a 5th Normal Attack at the end of the rotation giving you an additional stack.
Eula's Best Team Comps
Eula's best teams always involve an Electro character as well as Cryo characters to create Superconduct reactions. This reduces Physical@ RES by 40%. Without other Elemental Reactions taking place Eula can only really fill Physical based roles. Eula's most common non-standard team is Hyperbloom teams.
Eula DPS Teams
Main DPS | Sub DPS | Sub DPS | Support |
---|---|---|---|
Eula | Raiden Shogun | Rosaria | Zhongli |
Eula | Escoffier | Yelan | Furina |
Eula is often used in Physical-centric teams using characters such as Raiden Shogun or Fischl and some Cryo units to focus on Superconduct's buffs. Alternatively, Eula can be used in Cryo-centric teams mainly using Escoffier who is half-carrying with their impressive personal damage alongside Cryo RES Shred.
Plunge Eula Teams
Main DPS | Support | Support | Support |
---|---|---|---|
Eula | Xianyun | Bennett | Furina |
As a claymore character, Eula is a great option for plunge teams using Xianyun. Xianyun helps to generate fanfare for Furina who provides massive buffs. If this is the team you plan to use exclusively, it would be worth changing artifact sets to the Long Night's Oath set.
Eula's Ascensions, Talents and Constellations
Eula's Ascension Passives and Materials
Unlock | Ascension Passive | Explanation |
---|---|---|
With Character | Aristocratic Introspection | When Eula crafts Character Talent Materials, she has a 10% chance to receive double the product. |
1st Ascension | Roiling Rime | If 2 stacks of Grimheart are consumed upon unleashing the Holding Mode of Icetide Vortex, a Shattered Lightfall Sword will be created that will explode immediately, dealing 50% of the basic Physical DMG dealt by a Lightfall Sword created by Glacial Illumination. |
4th Ascension | Wellspring of War-Lust | When Glacial Illumination is cast, the CD of Icetide Vortex is reset and Eula gains 1 stack of Grimheart. |
Eula requires a range of materials to ascend to the 6th ascension. Starting from the second ascension they gain additional CRIT DMG as she levels, giving a total of 38.4% Bonus CRIT DMG at the final ascension. The total cost to upgrade all ascensions is:

Eula's Constellations
Eula's C6, Noble Obligation is incredibly powerful allowing your Elemental Burst to deal some of the highest single hit numbers in the game. That being said, Tidal Illusion (C1) is a great stopping point because it provides a great DMG boost.
