Faruzan Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Faruzan build guide for Genshin Impact. Faruzan is a powerful 4-Star Anemo Support Character, providing excellent buffs to Anemo damage. In our guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Faruzan, from building the best Artifacts and Weapons to important stat priorities and rotations.

Best Weapons for Faruzan

Listed below are Faruzan's best weapons. While weapons are listed in a priority order, what's best to build on your Faruzan can vary depending on the exact team composition and level of investment you want to put into Faruzan.

Favonius Warbow R5

Windfall

Base ATK: 454

Energy Recharge: 61.3%

CRIT Hits have a 60% / 70% / 80% / 90% / 100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12s / 10.5s / 9s / 7.5s / 6s.

Favonius Warbow is Faruzan's generally most recommended weapon. The high Energy Recharge it provides plus the particles from it's passive, makes Favonius fantastic for achieving Faruzan's high Energy requirements. The particles also help lower the rest of the team's Energy requirements as well.
Elegy for the End R1

The Parting Refrain

Base ATK: 608

Energy Recharge: 55.1%

A part of the "Millennial Movement" that wanders amidst the winds. Increases Elemental Mastery by 60 / 75 / 90 / 105 / 120. When the Elemental Skills or Elemental Bursts of the character wielding this weapon hit opponents, that character gains a Sigil of Remembrance. This effect can be triggered once every 0.2s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 4 Sigils of Remembrance, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain the "Millennial Movement: Farewell Song" effect for 12s. "Millennial Movement: Farewell Song" increases Elemental Mastery by 100 / 125 / 150 / 175 / 200 and increases ATK by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Remembrance for 20s. Of the many effects of the "Millennial Movement," buffs of the same type will not stack.

Elegy for the End also provides Faruzan a large amount of Energy Recharge, while allowing her to provide further buffing to the team's Elemental Mastery and ATK %. If your team doesn't need the extra particles that Favonius provides, then Elegy is Faruzan's best weapon. Note that Faruzan needs to be C6 to reliably activate this weapon's passive.
Rainbow Serpent's Rain Bow R5

Astral Whispers Beyond the Sacred Throne

Base ATK: 510

Energy Recharge: 45.9%

ATK is increased by 28% / 35% / 42% / 49% / 56% for 8s after the equipping character's attacks hit an opponent while the equipping character is off-field.

Rainbow Serpent's Rain Bow provides a high amount of not just Energy Recharge, but also ATK % to increase her personal damage. However, her personal damage is not very high, so it will usually be better to use Favonius for the extra particles.

Best Artifacts for Faruzan

Tenacity of the Millelith

Tenacity of the Millelith

2-Piece Set: HP +20%

4-Piece Set: When an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the ATK of all nearby party members is increased by 20% and their Shield Strength is increased by 30% for 3s. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s. This effect can still be triggered even when the character who is using this artifact set is not on the field.

At C6, Faruzan deals Elemental Skill damage every three seconds, allowing her to provide the buffs from this set with full uptime. So as long as she is C6, Tenacity is her usual best set. But before C6, this set is not good on her.
Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City

Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City

2-Piece Set: When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, the equipping character regenerates 6 Elemental Energy.

4-Piece Set: After the equipping character triggers a reaction related to their Elemental Type, all nearby party members gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the elemental reaction for 15s. If the equipping character is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state when triggering this effect, all nearby party members gain an additional 28% Elemental DMG Bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the elemental reaction for 20s. The equipping character can trigger this effect while off-field, and the DMG bonus from Artifact Sets with the same name do not stack.

Faruzan can't provide the full 40 DMG % from this set, but she can still provide the 12% at the very least. If someone else on the team is using Tenacity, or Faruzan is not C6, Scroll is a good alternative.
Noblesse Oblige

Noblesse Oblige

2-Piece Set: Elemental Burst DMG +20%

4-Piece Set: Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members' ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.

Noblesse Oblige is also a viable support set Faruzan can use if not using Tenacity. However, Scroll is more recommended due to having a longer duration. Teams will also usually have another support able to use Noblesse better than Faruzan.
Viridescent Venerer

Viridescent Venerer

2-Piece Set: Anemo DMG Bonus +15%

4-Piece Set: Increases Swirl DMG by 60%. Decreases opponent's Elemental RES to the element infused in the Swirl by 40% for 10s.

As an Anemo unit, Faruzan is able to use Viridescent Venerer. However, the set does not buff Anemo damage, so it's not a recommended set on Faruzan, unless paired with a unit that also deals high amounts of Pyro/Hydro/Electro/Cryo damage such as Varka.

Faruzan's Stat Priority

Sands of Eon: Energy Recharge % > ATK %
Goblet of Eonothem: Anemo DMG > ATK %
Circlet of Logos: CRIT Rate
Substats: ER to requirements > CRIT Rate / CRIT Damage > ATK %

When building Faruzan's stats, the most important thing is always Energy Recharge. CRIT Rate should also be highly prioritized, to increases the chances of activating Favonius Warbow's effect. After achieving high Energy Recharge and CRIT Rate, CRIT Damage and ATK % can be focused on to improve Faruzan's personal damage.

Recommended Stats for Faruzan

Build recommendations assume a "decently built" level of artifact rolls alongside Faruzan's best 4 star weapon, Favonius Warbow. Using other weapons may increase or decrease certain stats relative to these recommendations.

ATK: 1500-1600
HP: 17,000-18,000
CRIT Rate: 70-80%
CRIT DMG: 135-170%
ER: 225-245%

The main variable with these stats will be Energy Recharge, as you can need vastly different amounts from team to team.

Faruzan's Talent Priority

Talent Priority: The Wind's Secret Ways > Wind Realm of Nasamjnin > Parthian Shot

Faruzan's Elemental Burst is the most important Talent to level as this increases her Anemo DMG % buff. Faruzan's Skill should be leveled next, as this is where most of her damage comes from at 6. Her Normal Attack talent is not an important part of her kit and can be left unleveled.

How to Play Faruzan

Faruzan's playstyle is very simple - you cast her Burst, then swap to the next character. If Faruzan is not C6, she should cast her Skill and perform a Charged Attack, as she won't make any Anemo particles otherwise.

Once Faruzan's Burst is active, she will be providing all of her buffs. Because Faruzan's buffs have long durations, she will usually be used as the first character in the rotation, and should swap to the next support after.

Faruzan's Best Constellations

Most of Faruzan's Constellations are primarily focused around improving her supportive capabilities and decreasing her Energy Requirements. C2 increases her Burst duration by 6 seconds, making her buff uptimes much better.

If you are unable to get Faruzan to C6, it is recommended to try and get her to at least C2. But Faruzan's Constellation 6 greatly improves her entire kit, not only giving her much more buffing via the Anemo CDMG% and allowing her to use the Tenacity set, but also allowing her to deal her Skill damage from off-field. This allows her to produce Anemo particles from off-field, greatly decreasing the Energy requirements of herself and the rest of the team.

Furthermore, since Faruzan will no longer need to perform a Charged Shot to produce particles, her field time becomes much lower, allowing for shorter rotations. All these factors combined result in a night and day difference once you get Faruzan to C6, and getting her there as fast as possible should be your priority.

Investment Priority: Constellation 6 > Constellation 2
