For this Jean build we recommand using the Primordial Jade Cutter sword as it will give you an HP boost, which will also be turned into more ATK, therefore boosting Jean's Healing. Freedom-Sworn is also a very good choice. You can use Amenoma Kageuchi for this build as the best craftable option which will provide with ATK and some Energy Recharge.
As most Anemo characters, Viridescent Venerer is the best 4-piece set for Jean's build. It will buff Jean's personal damage and also provide RES Shred for everyone.
Sunfire Jean Build
Sunfire is the designation of the Jean and Bennett combination. Bennett's burst with on top Jean's Burst, creates a powerful Pyro application and swirl. In order to do so, you want to focus more on Elemental Mastery for this build.

Freedom-Sworn is a better choice for Sunfire Jean, as it will provide with more Elemental Mastery. Xiphos' Moonlight is the best 4-star options as it provides with both Energy Recharge and Elemental Mastery.
As most Anemo characters, Viridescent Venerer is the best 4-piece set for Jean's build. This also counts for Sunfire. It will buff Jean's personal damage and also provide RES Shred for everyone.
If you plan on playing a Sunfire Jean build with Bennett you want to invest more into Elemental Mastery, as this will allow her to deal more damage when she Swirls.
Jean needs quite a lot of Energy Recharge. If you plan of playing her as the only Anemo character then aim for 160-200%. If you use Favonius Sword or another Anemo character, you can aim lower around 140% Energy Recharge.
Jean Combos and How to Play
Jean will mostly be off-field, and switched in when you need to use her Burst, Skill, or Charged attack.
Her normal charged attack can launch enemies in the air, which can be useful to get a bit of crowd control when needed. If you fight larger monsters, you will need two consecutive charged attacks for them to launch.
Jean's Elemental skill on the other hand will launch enemies far away. Her Gale Blade can be useful if you need to get away from some enemies. Holding it will pull everyone in before you can throw them in a specific direction. This can be helpful when you are near water for example, as throwing enemies into the water will instantly kill them. However, be careful to not use her skill before swapping to another character that needs to be close-ranged with enemies.
Jean's most important skill for this build is her Burst, Dandelion Breeze. This burst will create an Anemo field, launching enemies, dealing Anemo damage, and healing all party members. Any enemies that enters the field will also receive damage, so you want to stay inside of it. Do not use Jean's Skill when the field is up, to not risk pushing enemies out of it.
For the Sunfire specific build, you will want to use Bennett's Burst first, and then put Jean's burst right on top of it, before switching to your DPS.
Jean's Best Team Compositions
Jean usually fits into various teams as a support healer. She particularly works great with Furina as Jean can easily maintain Furina's Fanfare stacks. Bennett will be another core teammate for Jean for the Sunfire teams, as they can swirl a ton of Pyro.
Furina Teams
Support | Main DPS | Support | Sub DPS |
---|---|---|---|
Jean | Neuvillette | Furina | Fischl |
Jean | Raiden Shogun | Furina | Yae Miko |
Jean | Clorinde | Furina | Yelan |
As mentioned before, Jean has the ability to keep Furina's Fanfare stacks up, making them good teammates. The two other slots can be filled with a powerful main DPS such as Neuvillette or Raiden Shogun for example, and a Sub-DPS. As long as they can benefit from Jean's healing and Furina's Hydro application, it will be a good choice.
Sunfire Teams
Support | Support | Main DPS | Support/Sub DPS |
---|---|---|---|
Jean | Bennett | Kamisato Ayaka | Shenhe |
Jean | Bennett | Ganyu | Zhongli |
Jean | Bennett | Arlecchino | Mavuika |
Jean | Bennett | Lyney | Citlali |
Sunfire is the name for the specific interaction between Jean and Bennett's Elemental Burst abilities, with Bennett using his burst first, followed by Jean applying her burst. This unique reaction takes place because Bennett's burst applies a Pyro aura to the battlefield which is continually applied to your active character. When Jean's Elemental Burst is added to Bennett's, she can Swirl that Pyro aura off of your character, triggering an explosive reaction.
This can be combined further with characters such as Kamisato Ayaka's Elemental Burst for example, which adds a large scale AoE to the battlefield and Cryo.
Support Teams
Support | Main DPS | Support | Support |
---|---|---|---|
Jean | Xiao | Faruzan | Zhongli |
Jean | Shikanoin Heizou | Faruzan | Furina |
Jean | Beidou | Fischl | Xingqiu |
This combination consists in providing the best supports for your main DPS character. As a Healer, Jean can really fit into a lot of various compositions. She especially shines in Anemo focused teams, as she can serve as battery on top of the healing, while also providing with a lot of Anemo RES Shred.

Jean's Constellations
People's Aegis (C2) and Lands of Dandelion (C4) are the two most important constellations you want to aim for. The first grants every party member increased Movement SPD and ATK SPD by 15% every time Jean picks up an elemental orb or energy particle. The second one shreds all opponents Anemo RES by 40% if they are standing in our Dandelion Breeze. However, given Jean is a Standard banner character, getting her constellations can be rather tricky, we do no recommend you farm the standard banner for her. Just if you loose your 50/50 on her, know that it is only beneficial.
# | Name | Explanation |
---|---|---|
C1 | Spiraling Tempest | Increases the pulling speed of Gale Blade after holding for more than 1 second, and increases the DMG dealt by 40%. |
C2 | People's Aegis | When Jean picks up an elemental orb/particle, all party members have their Movement SPD and ATK SPD increased by 15% for 15s. |
C3 | When the West Wind Arises |
|
C4 | Lands of Dandelion | Within the Field created by Dandelion Breeze, all opponents have their Anemo RES decreased by 40%. |
C5 | Outbursting Gust |
|
C6 | Lion's Fang, Fair Protector of Mondstadt | Incoming DMG is decreased by 35% within the Field created by Dandelion Breeze. Upon leaving the Dandelion Field, this effect lasts for 3 attacks or 10s. |
