Genshin Impact Natlan Leaks and 5.0 Rumors

Natlan is rumoured to have more of a "performing-art-centered" design philosophy. This more specifically means that the region itself will help in delivering the story of 5.0 onwards.

This was leaked by UTeyvat on twitter. They also explain that this does not mean that Natlan will be quest gated behind a 10+ hour World Quest like Sumeru and the Aranara. Instead, Natlan will flow more similarly to Remuria from the 4.6 World Quest. This means the world will become more interactive and also cinematic.

Team Mew have shared to their Telegram some key information about how the player can traverse the Volcanic lands of Natlan. The first being that there will be a range of "volcanic steam cannons used for long-distanced travel". Given this is using steam, these may function similarly to other traversal mechanics which rise the player into the air to glide around.

The other, more significant leak is that mounts will be available in Natlan. Currently, it is not known if these mounts will be useable outside of the Pyro Nation or if they are locked to Natlan much like Fontaine and underwater swimming. It is also rumoured that a first test for this feature will be used in 4.8's zone much like how other X.8 patches have had tests for the new region such as Waveriders.

Some of these mounts have been showcased in a new "Saurian Wanderings" preview teaser.

Team Mew have also shared information from the leaker FouL that the level cap will be finally increasing with Natlan's release. Is is not currently known how much Resin and time this will take or if the increased level cap also comes with new Talent levels or Ascension Passives which could be used to re-balance characters.

New characters will be released with Natlan. With "Uncle K" claiming there will be 2 Limited 5-stars with 5.0, 1 in 5.1 and 1 in 5.2. It is expected that the characters releasing in 5.1 and 5.2 will be Xbalanque and the Pyro Archon which would mirror the release of Neuvillette and Furina.
