Sea of Bygone Eras Chests and Puzzles Guide for Genshin Impact
This page shows the locations for all chests and puzzles to help you get 100% Exploration in the Sea of Bygone Eras. We also have specific pages for Time Trials as well as Seelies and the Statues of the Seven.
For convenience, the Sea of Bygone Eras maps have been split into two halves.

Sea of Bygone Eras Left Side

#1 Defeat enemies.
#2 Use symphony to cause the towers to match where the statues are pointing.
#3 Defeat enemies.
#4 Speak to the statue to start the challenge to unlock the giant blue door if you have not already. 3 Chests available.
#5 Use symphony to slow time until all 3 eels heads are out. Then tap the skill to pause time on them to gain the chest.
#6 Break Rock then follow the octopus.
#7 Part of World Quest.
#8 Use symphony to cause the towers to match the symbols on the squids.
#9 No puzzle.
#10 Defeat enemies to save the squids.
#11 Part of World Quest.
#12 No puzzle. Just hidden near the sea floor.
#13 Bomb both underground eels at the same time.
#14 Break Rock.
#15 Use symphony to turn the flower to the correct octopus.
#16 Save squid.
#17 Open Clam.
#18 Open clam near #17 for a time trial. Speak to squid by that chest to collect particles to obtain the Luxurious Chest.
#19 Use symphony to slow time until all 4 eels heads are out. Then tap the skill to pause time on them to gain the chest.
#20 Under #19. Save Squid to unlock chest.
#21 Follow the circles.
#22 Go back through the hole after completing the World Quest.
#23 Use Symphony on the tail of the Anglerfish to open their mouth.
#24 Defeat Enemies.
#25 Break Rock.
#26 and #27 Defeat Enemies.
#28 Use symphony on the tail of the Anglerfish to open their mouth.
#29 Use symphony to rotate flower.
#30 Defeat Enemies.
#31 Activate Chonch to search for the squids.
#32 Dig by the sword.
The remaining 7 chests on the left sie can be found in side the Portus Anticus cave in the north of the area.

#1 Break the rock.

#6 Shoot the ball into the moving circles 3 times.
#7 & #8 Use symphony to stop/move the squid while the Wonderchime Flower isnt looking.
#9 Use symphony on the tail of the Anglerfish to open their mouth.
#10 Left - open the Shell. Middle - rotate the flower. Right - defeat the enemies. Grants a Luxurious Chest.
#11 Inside a clam.
#12 Use symphony to slow time until all 4 eels heads are out. Then tap the skill to pause time on them to gain the chest.
#13 Defeat the enemies.
#14 Break the rock.
#15 Inside one of the broken pillars at the top.
#16 Inside the cave. Defeat the enemies. Interact with the water phase gate to get to #17.
#17 In the river.
#18 From the World Quest.
#19 Above the cave. Save the squid.
#20 Defeat the enemies.
#21, #22, #23 are all related. Speak to the squids on either side and defend the squid on the right to access all 3 chests and a Hydroculus.
#24 Use symphony to slow time until all 4 eels heads are out. Then tap the skill to pause time on them to gain the chest.
#25 Defeat the enemies.
#26 Use symphony on the tail of the Anglerfish to open their mouth.
#27, #28, #29 follow the Squid and complete 3 tasks to gain 3 chests.

#30 Defeat the enemies.
#31 Defeat the enemies.
#32 Inside the cave, defeat 2 crabs.
#33 Near the exit of the cave. Cut the seaweed.
#34 Break the rock.
#35 Inside the clam by the teleport. The water phase gate gets you to #36.
#36 Near the top of the building. Take the phase gate and go down to get to #37.
#37 Break the rock.
#38 Defeat the enemies.
#39 Use symphony on the tail of the Anglerfish to open their mouth.
#40 Use symphony to pause the squids while their AoE is over the flowers.
#41 Defeat the enemies.
