Luna VIII Genshin Impact Tier List and Best Character Rankings
Welcome to our comprehensive Genshin Impact Tier List, where we break down the best characters to help you conquer Teyvat's toughest challenges. Whether you're assembling a powerful team for Spiral Abyss or just exploring the world, this guide will rank each character based on their performance in various roles, including Main DPS, Sub DPS and support.
Genshin Impact Luna VIII Tier List
Our Tier List for Genshin Impact Version 6.7 organises characters into 3 roles. A Main DPS, Sub DPS and Support.
Some characters rank in our Tier List multiple times where they can fit multiple roles, for example Raiden Shogun who can be a Main DPS, Sub DPS and Support. Many support characters do have the ability to provide off-field damage or apply an element however if there is a significant difference then they have been omitted.
Tier lists can be great for showing a rough estimate of a character's performance relative to other characters in their role. Please know that every character in Genshin Impact is viable regardless of their ranking and can clear all content with enough investment. Make sure to pick the character you like and want over the character that performs better!
Genshin Impact Luna VIII Tier List Changes and Additions
Below are the most recent changes to our tier list which is the changes in patch Luna VIII which focuses on the release of Sandrone in addition to the new character buffs.
| Character | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Sandrone |
Sandrone is a new Cryo DPS and the first character enabling the new elemental reaction Stellar-Conduct. She is a powerful DPS with a lot of room to grow due to many of her best teammates currently being old characters. As Snezhnaya releases and more stellar-based characters are released, Sandrone is expected to get a lot more powerful. That being said many of her lower constellations are on the weaker side so vertical investment for Sandrone may primarily come in the form of investing in the rest of her future teammates. |
| Yae Miko |
Yae Miko is a very powerful support especially for Sandrone as well as Wriothesley, performing extremely well thanks to the buffs she has been given allowing her to deal extra damage and additional attacks. |
| Wriothesley Cyno |
Wriothesley and Cyno are both Main DPS that will be getting buffed in version 6.7. Their DPS at a C0 base is alright but not great partly because they cannot enable stellar reactions themself meaning they have to rely on having sandrone simply exist in their party until more Stellar-supports are released in future patches. |
| Qiqi |
Qiqi's buffs are a massive turning point for her. Going from being a very bad character into a great one, now providing consistent Cryo application, particle generation allowing her to support the party, as well as buffs for Stellar-Conduct DMG. With Qiqi often being a character you can obtain for free, she is an incredibly accessible unit in stellar-based teams. That being said, the buffs only help her in stellar teams and qiqi herself cannot enable stellar reactions meaning she will likely fall off over time as new supports are released into the game. |
| Diona Beidou |
Diona and Beidou are both 4-Star units who will be receiving buffs which will accommodate the new Stellar-Conduct reaction. Both Diona and Beidou are great characters and are currently viable within Sandrone teams and may serve to be decent F2P options in the future as we get new DPS in Snezhnaya. |
Tier List Explanations and Ranking Criteria
Our Tier List for Genshin Impact groups characters as either a Main DPS, Sub DPS or a support.
- Main DPS: A character who spends the majority of their time on-field in the team to deal massive damage.
- Sub DPS: Characters that have good elemental application to create Elemental Reactions for the team or deal high amounts of damage while off-field.
- Support: Healers, Shielders and buffers. These characters may also deal some damage while off-field but their value lies in the supportive utility they give the party.
Characters are then ranked in their respective role based on D to S+ rankings based on their damage, ease of play, elemental application, buffs they provide to the team and how widely used they are.
Characters in the same tier are simply in alphabetical order and generally speaking it is pointless to compare characters in the same tier due to them rarely overlapping directly in roles and having different elements that allow them to be more or less suitable based on the fight.
