X Weaknesses

  • -Elemental Burst has a high Energy Cost.

Yae primarily is played as a SubDPS generally focusing on the Aggravate reaction but can be played in other reactions as well such as Hyperbloom, Overloaded and Electro-Charged.

Yae has a range of powerful weapon options with her signature weapon, Kagura's Verity generally being her best option. A Thousand Floating Dreams being her second best generally because of the passive provided. Some 4-star options include The Widsith and Solar Pearl both of which can be great options when at R5.

Gilded Dreams is a great artifact set for Yae with its Elemental Mastery and ATK boosting effects. Another great option is Golden Troupe in more single-target focused scenarios.

When focusing on Aggravate, Yae wants to be built with CRIT, ATK % and Elemental Mastery to increase her DMG.

When built as a Hyperbloom DPS, Yae will spend a lot more time on-field dealing Electro DMG to generate Hyperblooms. As the driver for this reaction, Yae wants to be built with a lot of Elemental Mastery.

This changes her weapon priorities to make A Thousand Floating Dreams her best option with 4-star stat sticks such as Wandering Evenstar, Sacrificial Fragments and even Magic Guide decent options for her.

4.

Yae Miko SubDPS Build

BiS Weapon Kagura's Verity
Alternate Weapons
  1. Skyward Atlas
  2. Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds
  3. Memory of Dust
  4. Solar Pearl
  5. Oathsworn Eye
Best Artifacts

  1. CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
  2. ATK %
  3. Energy Recharge
  4. Elemental Mastery
Talent Priority
  1. Elemental Skill
  2. Elemental Burst
  3. Normal Attack

This is a more "general" build you could say, not focusing on any specific Dendro reaction like the other 2 builds and therefore does not prioritise Elemental Mastery. One example would be when she is used as a SubDPS for Raiden Shogun.

This means that Yae's stats focus more on ATK and CRIT now to increase her DMG. While Golden Troupe becomes her best artifact set.

4.1.

Energy Recharge Requirements

Yae's Energy Recharge requirements can vary based on who is in the party and how often you use her Elemental Burst. If Yae is the only Electro character on the team for example, you will only want to burst every other rotation otherwise the Energy Recharge requirements become too high.

Burst frequency Energy Recharge
Yae Solo | Burst Every Other Rotation 160 - 180%
2 Electro | Burst Every Rotation 140 - 160%
2 Electro | Burst Every Other Rotation 110 - 140%

Yakan Offering (C1), roughly lowers Yae's Energy Recharge requirements down by 40% effectively allowing her to burst every rotation in a lot more teams. Playing her on-field can also lower it by roughly 15%.

5.

Combos and How to Play Yae Miko

Yae's gameplay primarily reolves around her Sesshou Sakura, these are the lightning "turrets" which are placed when you use her Elemental Skill and deal Electro DMG periodically. You have 3 charges of this Elemental Skill and 3 Sesshou Sakura can be on the field at any time.

When the Sesshou Sakura are near to eachother, their level will increase. This means that the DMG dealt from their periodic attacks will increase. To optimise this, you want to place them in a rough triangle-like formation. Placing them in a line will only allow the middle Sakura to hit level 3.

Yae's Elemental Burst, Great Secret Art: Tenko Kenshin deals powerful Electro AoE DMG to nearby opponents. When using this skill, any Sesshou Sakura nearby will "unseal". This means they will also deal additional AoE Electro DMG to enemies. With Yae's 1st Ascension The Shrine's Sacred Shade you can then immediately re-summon your Sesshou Sakura. This therefore gives the following rotation:

  • Yakan Evocation: Sesshou Sakura x3
  • Use other character buffs and abilities.
  • Great Secret Art: Tenko Kenshin
  • Yakan Evocation: Sesshou Sakura x3

Yae Miko's Best Team Comps

Yae Miko has a wide range of teams she can support with her off-field Electro DMG. Her best teams generall being Quicken related.

6.1.

Yae Miko Catalyze Teams

The Below teams focus on the Catalyze set of reactions involving Aggravate and Spread.

6.1.1.

Aggravate Teams

Dendro DPS Sub DPS Electro DPS Support
Yae Miko

With Yae, you generally want 1 more Electro and 1 Dendro character paired alongside her with a final flex position for supportive utility such as Shields and RES Shred. Having the team with more Electro characters allows the team to primarily focus on the Aggravate reaction.

With Electro characters, Fischl tends to be the best due to how quickly she can apply Electro, Raiden Shogun instead offers more AoE DMG as well as functioning as a great battery. Kuki Shinobu instead provides healing alongside her Electro application and also opens your team up to different supportive characters such as Kaedehara Kazuha, Venti and Sucrose.

With regards to Dendro characters, you have great options. Nahida offers great personal damage as well as powerful Dendro application. Tighnari and Alhaitham prodive single target and AoE DMG respectively while characters such as Baizhu or Yaoyao provide healing and therefore allow different supportive characters.

6.1.2.

Spread Teams

Main DPS Sub DPS Sub DPS Flex
Yae Miko

While similar to the previous team comp, this team instead uses 2 Dendro characters and therefore has a higher emphasis on Spread reaction DMG. Because you are running 2 Dendro characters, this does mean you want to ensure that 1 character is running Deepwood Memories to lower the enemy Dendro RES.

Alhaitham and Tighnari make great Main DPS options, Nahida is also an option although better saved to be paired off-field ideally if possible. The final flex position should either be a healer/shielder if you do not yet have one or another Electro character if you do. Furina is a great option when paired with Baizhu as he can easily generate Furina's Fanfare stacks.

6.2.

Hyperbloom Teams

Sub DPS Sub DPS Sub DPS Support
Yae Miko

In Hyperbloom teams, Yae will be the sole Electro trigger. You generally want 2 Hydro characters with Xingqiu and Yelan having great Hydro application while Furina and Sangonomiya Kokomi instead provide utility. Nahida has the best Dendro application while Baizhu and Yaoyao instead provide healing but less Dendro application.

6.3.

Yae and Raiden Teams

Main DPS Sub DPS Support Support
Raiden Shogun Yae Miko

While a less common team composition compared to Raiden Shogun's more popular teams it can still be effective in combat and can be great in combat which involves multiple waves of enemies. In more Hypercarry focused teams, once Raiden's Burst is over your DMG drops dramatically, Yae helps by providing Electro DMG outside of her Burst window. As with many of Raiden's other team compositions, characters such as Bennett, Kaedehara Kazuha, Kujou Sara and Zhongli tend to be some of her best supports.
