Animal Companion is a Hunter-only spell. Below the card images, you will find explanations to help you use the card optimally in every game mode of Hearthstone.

General Comments

Animal Companion is an outstanding card, since despite summoning a random minion, all three minions (Huffer, Leokk, and Misha) have amazing value for the Mana cost. On top of this, the times you are given the exact option you wanted will be incredibly powerful.

Constructed Play

Animal Companion is a staple card in every Hunter deck. In aggressive decks it is included due to the possibility of Huffer being summoned as an incredibly efficient Charge minion. In Midrange Hunter decks, it is a fantastic activator for Houndmaster, Kill Command, Ram Wrangler, and any other Beast synergies in your deck.

Arena

Animal Companion is an outstanding card. All 3 random minions have great value for their cost. Unlike many cards, multiple copies of Animal Companion do not decrease in value once you start to get more than 2, and you should be happy to pick up as many as you are offered as long as it does not interfere too much with your Mana curve. Consider the possible implications of all 3 outcomes before you cast this card.
