Mad Hatter — Neutral Card
Table of Contents
Mad Hatter is a neutral minion. This card was introduced with The Witchwood and can now only be obtained through crafting. Below the card images, you will find explanations to help you use the card optimally in every game mode of Hearthstone.
General Comments
Mad Hatter has the potential to create 6/5 worth of stats, 3/3 of which with the potential to attack immediately, for just 4 Mana. However, the Battlecry on Mad Hatter is just as capable of hitting enemy minions as it is of hitting your own. For Mad Hatter to be effective, you will need to be ahead on board.
Constructed Play
If Mad Hatter is guaranteed to only hit your own minions, it does an incredible impression of a 4-Mana Bonemare. Though Mad Hatter does not currently see play in any popular decks, there may come a time in the future where the symmetrical effect of Mad Hatter could be abused to great effect.
Arena
Playing minions on curve is one of the most important things you can do in the Arena. Due to the fact that Mad Hatter can hit the enemy's minions, there will be many boards where you can not play Mad Hatter on curve because your opponent has more minions than you. Though Mad Hatter can turn a lead into a win, it is more important to have cards in your Arena deck that are good when you are behind than cards that are good when you are ahead.
