Unidentified Shield — Warrior Card
Table of Contents
Unidentified Shield is a Warrior-only spell. This card was introduced with Kobolds & Catacombs and can now only be obtained through crafting. Below the card images, you will find explanations to help you use the card optimally in every game mode of Hearthstone.
General Comments
Unidentified Shield is one of the many unidentified cards that was added as part of the Kobolds and Catacombs expansion. Upon being drawn, the card will gain an additional effect, becoming one of Tower Shield +10, Serrated Shield, Runed Shield, or Spiked Shield. While all of the effects are very reasonable for the Cost, the inability to choose which one the card gets greatly hurts the consistency of the card.
Constructed Play
In Constructed, Unidentified Shield is a solid choice for Control Warrior decks. The randomness of the effect makes the card unviable for faster Warrior decks that have more proactive strategies, as the randomness of the card will often create an effect that offers no value for the deck.
Arena
In Arena, Unidentified Shield is an Average card. Three of the Four random effects of the card are very useful in Arena for the cost, the exception being Tower Shield +10, which greatly lowers the strength of the card.
