Hearthstone Battlegrounds Hero Tier List

Welcome to the Hearthstone Battlegrounds Hero Tier List! Each Hero in Hearthstone Battlegrounds has their own unique Hero Power and playstyle but unfortunately not all were balanced equally. This guide will classify each playable Hero based on strength in the current patch.

Please note that this information should be used as a general guideline and is not specific to each player or lobby. Some Heroes may perform better or worse depending on how they are played or the minions available. All information on Hero performance has been sourced from HSReplay and Firestone.

S Tier Heroes are the best Heroes in the game to pick before entering the lobby. Each has a Hero Power that has the ability to win the game on the spot. These heroes are currently over-performing in comparison to the meta and are therefore suggested to take whenever available.

A Tier Heroes have flexable and powerful Hero Powers to help you consistently top 4 and win games. Although not as strong as S Tier Heroes, they are still extremely viable options. Pick these Heroes when available as well.

B Tier Heroes have flexible but not incredibly strong Hero Powers to work with. They are solid but not necessarily game-winning picks. In the current meta, these heroes have a wide range of expected outcomes to finish the game. Consider these Heroes if you are presented with only C or D Tier Heroes available otherwise.

C Tier Heroes are the current majority of all Heroes in the game. Their Hero Powers can do something specific but do not lend to success in every game played. All C Tier heroes have significant win percentage over D Tier, so pick these Heroes when you are presented with D Tier options.

D Tier Heroes are a group of currently under-performing Heroes that need a lot of luck and support to even top 4 with. The Hero Powers available to these heroes are inflexible and underwhelming when compared to other Tiers. Take these heroes only as a last resort or for fun because no other options are available.

These Heroes were previously available for picking in Battlegrounds but are no longer in the current playable pool. An important thing to note is Blizzard does actively update and rotate Heroes for future balance patches, so these may be available again in the future.
