The Lich King Echo Giants Mage Deck
This deck can be used to defeat the Mage encounter with The Lich King in Icecrown Citadel. It is an Echo Giant Mage deck that takes advantage of the fact that you start the fight on 1 Health by using Molten Giants to rush down opponents. As this is a difficult fight, this deck is aimed towards seasoned players and includes Standard and Wild cards of a moderate cost.

Strategy
At the start of the fight The Lich King will cast The True Lich to immediately set your Health to 1. As you go first before the boss casts the spell, it is actually possible to counter it using Kabal Lackey + Counterspell, however this specific deck takes utilises the low Health as part of its strategy.
This is a very difficult fight and as a result you should consider restarting the fight a couple of times if you do not get a reasonable opening hand. To successfully defeat this encounter you should aim to have a Molten Giant in your opening hand, which can be played on turn 2 after the boss sets your health to 1, and a way to prevent a Skeletal Knight from killing you on Turn 2 as the boss will frequently play one on Turn 1 using The Coin. To stop a turn Skeletal Knight you should look for Frostbolt, Kabal Lackey and Ice Block or Ice Barrier, or a Sunfury Protector to pair with your Molten Giant.
Once you are past Turn 2, you should try to rush the boss down as fast as possible and get the maximum damage out of your Molten Giant. During this time you should also make sure you can not be killed. A single Ice Block or Ice Barrier will keep you safe from most minions, allowing you to maximize your damage. During this time, you should also be looking to play additional Molten Giants to increase your damage. This can be done either through Duplicate, Echo of Medivh, or drawing your second copy of Molten Giant from your deck.
If everything goes smoothly, you should be aiming to end the game by Turn 7 before the boss can play its copy of Frostmourne, however if you reach this stage it is still possible to win. The Trapped Souls that spawn only have 2 attack and are easily killable with Molten Giants, especially if they have Taunt from Sunfury Protector. The difficulty comes in the last phase of the fight, as the boss uses the Remorseless Winter Hero Power each turn, your Ice Blocks will be triggered each turn, giving you a couple of turns to finish off the game.
