Li Li's Talent Build Cheatsheet
Cloud Serpent Build
RecommendedLi Li's Cloud Serpent Build turns you into a battle Healer who can provide a fair amount of healing and deal a decent amount of damage at the same time, a combination that is particularly suited for drawn-out team fights.
The combination of Wind Serpent at Level 4 and Lightning Serpent at Level 13 allows her to constantly pressure the enemy team with low but steady damage, especially if you can get value from Fast Feet for Serpent Sidekick at Level 1.
While good on its own, prefer this Build when playing Li Li together with another Healer as it increases your damage (as explained already) and their healing, thanks to Blessings Of Yu'lon at Level 16.
Healing Brew Build
SituationalLi Li's Healing Brew Build is designed to increase sustain healing, something that helps against damage over time effects (Lunara comes to mind) and can easily keep your team topped off during team fights.
In particular, Two For One helps you to keep multiple allied Heroes in a good shape with the help of Free Drinks at Level 1 and The Good Stuff at Level 7 that synergize well all together.
ARAM Build
ARAMLi Li's ARAM Build turns you into a battle Healer who can provide a fair amount of healing and deal a decent amount of damage at the same time, a combination that is particularly suited for drawn-out team fights.
The combination of Wind Serpent at Level 4 and Lightning Serpent at Level 13 allows her to constantly pressure the enemy team with low but steady damage, especially if you can get value from Fast Feet for Serpent Sidekick at Level 1.
Level 1 Talents for Li Li
Healing Brew's cooldown is reduced by 1 second and its Mana cost is refunded if it heals a Hero under 50% Health.
Free Drinks is a good Talent that, when Healing Brew heals an allied Hero that has less than 50% maximum Health, reduces its cooldown and refunds its Mana cost.
Pick this Talent when you want to be as little dependent on Fast Feet as possible for safety reasons because, contrary to the other options in the same Tier, Free Drinks does not require you to take damage in order to work.
While we find this Talent interesting regardless of your Build, it has synergy with other Healing Brew-based Talents: The Good Stuff at Level 7, Two For One at Level 16, and Pick Me Up at Level 16 as well.
Cloud Serpent no longer costs Mana and while Fast Feet is active its cooldown refreshes an additional 75% faster.
Serpent Sidekick is a strong Talent that completely removes the Mana cost of Cloud Serpent and increases the cooldown refresh rate bonus that it gets while Fast Feet is active.
When you have this Talent, keep in mind that each Hero can have only one Cloud Serpent active on them and therefore you should usually swap target each time, unless you really want to refresh it on a specific Hero because they will move too far from you and/or because it will get more value than on others.
As they obviously benefit from the cooldown reduction it provides, consider picking this Talent only if you plan to pick multiple Cloud Serpent-based Talents later on: Wind Serpent at Level 4, Lightning Serpent at Level 13, and Blessings Of Yu'lon at Level 16.
Increase Fast Feet's duration by 150% and increase Mana regeneration by 150% while Fast Feet is active.
Eager Adventurer is a decent Talent that makes Fast Feet last longer and increases your Mana Regeneration while your Trait is active.
The increased duration helps you keep Fast Feet active for longer while taking damage less often, making it way easier to keep your Trait active.
Level 4 Talents for Li Li
Cloud Serpent grants its bearer 10% increased Movement Speed. Casting Blinding Wind increases this bonus to 20% for 3 seconds.
Passive: Cloud Serpent attacks 25% faster.
Wind Serpent is a strong Talent that you can use to increase the Movement Speed of allied Heroes while casting Cloud Serpent on them. You can further increase the Movement Speed provided by casting Blinding Wind. In additon to that, each summoned Cloud Serpent will have slightly more Attack Speed, resulting in 2 additional Basic Attacks, going from a maximum of 8 to a maximum of 10 Basic Attacks.
Thanks to the Attack Speed provided to your Cloud Serpents, this Talent has synergy with: Lightning Serpent at Level 13, and Blessings Of Yu'lon at Level 16. As a consequence, you will be able to get around 25% more value from those Talents.
If you pick Wind Serpent in conjunction with Serpent Sidekick at Level 1 and/or Shake It Off at Level 20, you should usually avoid casting Cloud Serpent on the same Hero for two times in a row, else you will end up overriding the previous Could Serpent and thus waste some value.
If Blinding Wind hits 2 Heroes, its cooldown is reduced by 2 seconds and Li Li gains 10% Spell Power for 10 seconds.
Surging Winds is a decent Talent that, after hitting 2 enemy Heroes with Blinding Wind, slightly reduces its cooldown and gives you Spell Power, increasing both your damage and healing output for a few seconds.
While the cooldown reduction is not that relevant, the Spell Power provided basically empowers any aspect of your kit, including damage and healing done via Heroic Abilities and Talents: Lightning Serpent at Level 13 and Blessings Of Yu'lon at Level 16.
Make sure to meet the condition of hitting 2 Heroes with Blinding Wind by waiting for 2 enemy Heroes to be within 7 range before casting it, else you will get almost no value from this Talent. The UI will does not have any indicator to tell you if this condition is being met or not.
Activate to gain Fast Feet, 30 Armor, and 30% Movement Speed for 3 seconds.
Passive: While Fast Feet is active, Li Li gains 10 Armor.
Safety Sprint is a situational Talent that gives you Armor while Fast Feet is active and allows you to manually activate it to gain even more Armor and Movement Speed.
You may need this Talent when playing around burst damage and/or dive Heroes to heavily increase your survivability when being focused down by the enemy team.
You can combine it with Eager Adventurer at Level 1 for extra value as they amplify each other: more Fast Feet uptime means more 10 Armor uptime and having Armor helps you mantain your Trait active while taking less damage in return.
Level 7 Talents for Li Li
Healing Brew heals for an additional 42 (+4% per level) over 3 seconds. While Fast Feet is active, this heal amount is increased by 100%.
The Good Stuff is a good Talent that effectively increases the amount that each Healing Brew heals by 24%, increased to 48% while Fast Feet is active.
Pick this Talent when you want to increase your sustain healing, especially if you do not need Let's Go! to take care of enemy crowd control or if you do not want to bother with another key to press.
Being tied to Healing Brew, this Talent has synergy with some related Talents: Free Drinks at Level 1, Two For One at Level 16, but not with Pick Me Up at Level 16. Eager Adventurer at Level 1 can be combined with this Talent to keep the healing multiplier active for longer.
Increase the number of enemies hit by Blinding Wind from 2 to 3. Blinding Wind deals 75% additional damage if all 3 enemies hit are Heroes.
Mass Vortex is a good Talent that allows you to hit 1 additional Hero with each cast of Blinding Wind and, when hitting only Heroes with it, deal bonus damage to them.
When using this Talent, in order to meet its condition to deal bonus damage, all you need to do is try to have 3 Heroes within 7 range before casting Blinding Wind. Put your mouse cursor on its icon to check how big it is and remember it while playing. Keep in mind that the bonus damage does not happen if you hit less than 3 Heroes.
The increased number of targets has synergy with Gale Force and especially Hindering Winds at Level 13, but notice that you can pick only one of them as they are on the same Tier. You can also pair it with Surging Winds at Level 4 as it helps you cast Blinding Wind a bit more often.
- Cooldown: 40 seconds
Activate to heal an allied Hero for 160 (+4% per level) and make them Unstoppable for 1 second. Let's Go's cooldown is affected by Fast Feet.
Cannot be used on Li Li.
Let's Go! is a strong Talent that you can activate to make a target allied Hero (other than yourself) within 7.5 range Unstoppable for a second and heal them for a small amount.
The cooldown of this Ability is 40 seconds and can be reduced via Fast Feet. Li Li can also activate Let's Go! while channeling any Heroic Ability.
We recommend picking this Talent when the enemy team relies on crowd control and burst damage paired together to take down Heroes and win team fights because Li Li does not have better tools than this to deal with this kind of threat.
Level 10 Talents for Li Li
In this section we discuss when and why to pick a given Heroic Ability. If you want to read how they work in detail and/or you are looking for some tips on how to use them, check them out on the Abilities and Strategy page.
- Mana: 80
- Cooldown: 20 seconds
Channel for up to 6 seconds. Every 0.25 seconds, increase the cooldown of Jug of 1,000 Cups by 2 seconds, up to 50 additional seconds, and heal the lowest Health nearby allied Hero for 66 (+4% per level) Health.
Jug of 1,000 Cups is a strong Heroic Ability that provides a massive amount of healing for you and your team, which is great to save whoever is being targeted by enemy Heroes, if you manage to cast it in time and you do not get interrupted.
When you are the only Healer in your team, you should heavily prefer this Heroic Ability, unless the enemy team has tools to reliably interrupt it. When paired with another Healer, you have to check if your team has enough healing and/or enough damage and then choose which Heroic Ability is more useful.
- Mana: 60
- Cooldown: 50 seconds
Li Li channels for 2 seconds, summoning a Water Dragon that hits the nearest enemy Hero within 12 range and all enemies near them, dealing 300 (+4% per level) damage and slowing their Movement Speed by 70% for 4 seconds.
Water Dragon is a good Heroic Ability that gives you access to a powerful Slow, useful to crowd control enemy Heroes that lack mobility. While it can be outranged before actually hitting, it cannot be interrupted.
Pick this Heroic Ability when your team needs more damage, crowd control, when Jug of 1,000 Cups can be interrupted with ease, and/or simply because you want more playmaking potential at the cost of raw healing.
Level 13 Talents for Li Li
Cloud Serpent attacks bounce to hit 2 additional targets for 13 (+4% per level) damage and 10 (+4% per level) healing.
Lightning Serpent is a strong Talent that empowers the Basic Attacks of your Cloud Serpents by making them bounce from an enemy to another, for a total of 3 enemies hit at most. Each bounce will increase the healing done from Cloud Serpent by 50%, up to 100% when hitting 3 enemies.
Pick this Talent when you want to further increase your sustain healing, especially if you have Wind Serpent at Level 4 and/or Blessings Of Yu'lon at Level 16 because they make it more powerful.
Increase Blinding Wind's Blind duration by 0.75 seconds. Li Li's Basic Attacks against Blinded Heroes deal 100% increased damage.
Gale Force is a good Talent that enhances Blinding Wind in 2 ways:
- first of all, the Blind it provides will last slightly longer, basically denying one additional Basic Attack per Hero hit;
- secondly, it will make you deal way more Attack Damage to enemy Heroes affected by Blinds, even if they have been applied by allied Heroes!
Pick this Talent when you are facing Heroes who focus on Basic Attacks to deal damage and/or to increase your own damage on whoever is getting focused down by your team and help them to quickly secure the kill.
Increase Blinding Wind's Slow amount to 30% and its duration to 2 seconds.
Hindering Winds is a decent Talent that empowers the Slow applied via Blinding Wind by increasing both its amount and duration.
We find this Talent particularly useful as a form of peeling from enemy melee Heroes that lack mobility in their kit.
Note that the duration increase provided by this Talent is referred to the Slow, not the Blind.
Level 16 Talents for Li Li
Increases the number of allies healed by Healing Brew to 2, but increases the cooldown by 1 second.
Two For One is a good Talent that allows you to heal up to 2 allied Heroes with each cast of Healing Brew.
The ability to heal 2 targets at the same time will drastically increase the sustain healing you can provide to your team when facing Heroes who can deal a lot of poke damage spread on multiple targets (such as Lunara).
Healing Brew's healing for Heroes is increased by 33% if they are under 50% Health.
Pick Me Up is a good Talent that increases the single-target healing of Healing Brew when it counts the most. Whenever an ally is low on Health, this Talent will give bonus healing to the recipient.
We recommend to pick this Talent when facing burst damage because it will help you save allied Heroes who are almost dead.
Cloud Serpent grants its bearer 10% increased healing received and heals them for an additional 0.5% of their maximum Health each time it attacks.
Blessings Of Yu'lon is a strong Talent that makes Cloud Serpent heal more, based on the targeted allied Hero's maximum Health, and empower the healing they receive from any source.
Pick this Talent in conjunction with other Cloud Serpent-based Talents to get the most value out of it, especially if your team has multiple Heroes with high maximum Health.
Level 20 Talents for Li Li
Jug of 1,000 Cups heals two allies at a time.
Jug of 1,000,000 Cups is a strong Talent that doubles the healing you can do with Jug of 1,000 Cups by increasing the number of targets from 1 to 2.
Keep in mind that this Talent will not increase your healing output on a single target, but only make it work on two targets at the same time. If you want to empower your single target healing, your only option in this Tier is Mistweaver, a versatile Talent that also provides good area of effect healing.
Pick this Talent when you need to heal two allied Heroes at the same time, so usually against Heroes who can constantly deal a lot of poke damage spread on multiple Heroes (for example Azmodan).
After hitting a target with Water Dragon, another Water Dragon is summoned at the point of impact.
Double Dragon is a good Talent that doubles the effect of Water Dragon by summoning a second one right after the first.
Pick this Talent when you want more crowd control and/or damage to help your team secure kills, especially if you are playing as secondary Healer.
- Cooldown: 30 seconds
Activate to heal nearby allied Heroes for 149 (+4% per level). Basic Attacks and Cloud Serpent attacks reduce the cooldown of Mistweaver by 1 second.
Mistweaver is a good Talent that, on a short cooldown which can also be reduced with Basic Attacks done by you and your Cloud Serpent, can be activated to heal all Heroes within range. Contrary to the majority of Active Talents, Mistweaver can be activated while channeling any Heroic Ability.
Even if not that much, this Talent can help Li Li to deal with burst damage, something she otherwise struggles to mitigate. Do not hesitate to use it for healing a single target if they are in danger.
Gain 35 Armor while Stunned, Silenced, or Rooted.
Passive: Increase Fast Feet's cooldown refresh rate to 75%.
Shake It Off is a situational Talent that passively increases the cooldown refresh rate bonus you get from Fast Feet and makes Li Li harder to kill when hit by some crowd control effects—Stun, Silence, and Root—by giving her a considerable amount of Armor for a few seconds.
You can combine Shake It Off with Eager Adventurer at Level 1 to get more value from its cooldown reduction component, otherwise pick this Talent only if you have a hard time surviving in the late game against a team composition featuring crowd control effects that can easily hit you.
