Forgotten Knights Faction Overview

Last updated on Apr 11, 2025 at 11:42 by Neviriah

This guide covers everything you need to know about the Forgotten Knights: One of the endgame factions in Last Epoch. Unlike the item factions such as the Circle of Fortune or Merchants Guild, this one is all about tracking your Harbinger progression and unlocking powerful rewards through faction ranks. Learn how to unlock the Forgotten Knights, how the system works, and what you need to do to face the ultimate boss: Aberroth.

1.

Introduction

The Forgotten Knights is one of the endgame factions in Last Epoch, separate from item factions like the Circle of Fortune or Merchants Guild. Its purpose is to help you track your Harbinger progression.

Progress is shared across all characters that use the same stash, just like with the other factions. But keep in mind: You only gain progress by defeating new Harbingers in new Timelines, and only if the fight meets the required corruption level.

How to Unlock the Forgotten Knights

After you complete your first Level 90 Timeline and defeat your first Harbinger, you will unlock Empowered Timelines. Once that happens, a portal will appear on the island in the center, between the three Level 90 Timelines.

Take that portal; it will send you to the Shattered Road, which is where the Forgotten Knights' base is located. From there, you will unlock a new Harbinger quest and start progressing your Forgotten Knights faction rank.

Just as a quick reminder: the Forgotten Knights is an endgame faction, completely separate from the item factions like the Circle of Fortune or Merchant's Guild. That means you can be part of both — you do not have to choose between them.

Ranks and Reputation

To level up your Forgotten Knights faction, you need to keep defeating new Harbingers in new Timelines, but only at the required Corruption levels. You can track your progress by opening the Faction window (press Y by default) and switching to the Harbingers tab.

  • Harbinger Tab: Shows what you need to do to reach the next rank (check the right side).
  • Shared Progress: Progress is shared between all characters using the same stash.
  • Tracking Your Kills: You can see which Harbingers you have found and defeated here too.

Harbingers and Aberroth

You will not be able to fight Aberoth right away. To unlock this Pinnacle Boss, you first need to progress through the Forgotten Knights' Harbinger questline and defeat all 10 Harbingers across different Timelines. Each kill increases your faction rank and unlocks new rewards along the way.

Once all 10 Harbingers are defeated, you can spend a Harbinger Eye at the Altar of Oblivion on the Shattered Road to open a portal to Aberoth. The eye is consumed on use, so you will need a new one each time you want to fight him again.

After defeating a Harbinger in a Timeline, it will start respawning there, so you can keep farming more eyes and keep progressing the faction.
