In a recent announcement, Judd “Mox,” the Game Director of Last Epoch, shared an update with the community! The highly anticipated launch of Season 2 – Tombs of the Erased – has been pushed back to April 17th. The decision comes as a response to another major ARPG title scheduling its release just days after Last Epoch’s original launch window.
The team at Eleventh Hour Games talked about their concerns that launching Season 2, as it was originally planned, would split the player base. This would ultimately affect the success of the update. Last Epoch is still growing and is a much smaller studio. They rely on each seasonal release to be able to continue development. The studio chose to delay the release a few weeks later, to make sure that players can have the best experience, and do not have to choose between two similar games.

Despite the delay, the Last Epoch team still is excited about the upcoming update. They encourage the community to help spread the word. Tombs of the Erased promises to introduce important new content, improvements, and challenges to the game, making the wait worthwhile!
