Arthetinean Skill Machinist Gearing Guide for Lost Ark
High-tech and style combine to make Machinist a force to be reckoned with. Equipped with a SMG and their drone, this class is also capable of going full-robot mode with the Hypersync ability. Machinist conquers its enemies with Joint, Drone, or Sync skills.
Arthetinean Skill: Accessories, Card Sets, Engravings and Gearsets
Arthetinean Skill primarily runs Crit with a various amounts of Swiftness depending on what Relic gearset you end up using. The Swiftness provides the CDR to smooth out the rotation. Due to the natural bonuses to Attack & Move Speed, you'll be able to leverage engravings such as Raid Captain and Increases Mass. Being a Crit main class, you'll have no issues using Keen Blunt Weapon and should have reliable Critical Rate using Adrenaline.
Card Sets
Card sets are shared across both engravings for Machinist. In the early game you can use cards that help with survivability such as Field Boss II, We'll Meet Again and Forest of Giants. For optimal damage you'll want Light of Salvation at 18 or 30 awakening, though is quite a late game goal. Lostwind Cliff provides additional Critical Rate and is a solid stand-in as you gradually work towards Light of Salvation.
Engravings
Arthetinean Skill usually runs 4 core engravings with options on remaining engraving slots depending on budget and personal preference.
- Grudge is a standard damage engraving. As a DPS you should be using this as an immediate slot-in for your setup.
- Raid Captain is crucial to run and easy to cap the bonus thanks to the Move Speed buffs you have.
- Keen Blunt Weapon is a staple given our main stat is Crit, we can use Adrenaline and/or have Critical Rate Synergy from party members.
- Adrenaline does require maintenance but providing Attack Power and Critical Rate makes this a very enticing pick.
- Increases Mass's Attack Speed reduction is essentially negated through the buffs Machinist has or Relic gearsets like Salvation or Yearning.
- Awakening is only taken if you want to use Dominion Fang to reduce downtime on the gearset's buffs.
- Arthetinean Skill can be used at level 1 or 3. Prompts the decision to choose between Adrenaline at level 3, the damage difference between the two is not very significant.
The four core engravings you'll want to use are Arthetinean Skill, Raid Captain, Grudge & Keen Blunt Weapon. Running 4x3 is the bare minimum typically used before you obtain Relic gear. Later on, you'll be striving for either 4x3+2+1, 5x3 or 5x3+1 setup. Adrenaline is always going to be the Level 2 choice in 4x3+2+1. In 5x3+1 scenarios, you can decide between Adrenaline & Arthetinean Skill for what you want to be your 5th level 3 and your level 1 choice. Increases Mass is taken in most cases, it'll be your 4th level 3 engraving and is only opted out for either Awakening if playing with Dominion Fang or Adrenaline in 5x3 cases. The upside compared to Adrenaline is you won't have to manage stacks, providing more consistent damage.
Gearsets
Starting in Legendary gear, you'll want the Preordained Diligence set from Argos to give you additional Critical Rate. You can use the 2-piece gear from Valtan Normal but it's only recommended if you intend on parking your character at 1415. Once you obtain Relic gear you'll have three options to choose from. The most beneficial is Poem of Salvation, providing damage bonuses and Attack Speed at maximum stacks. Not only this, if you take damage while under 30% HP, you'll gain damage reduction and a cooldown reset on your Spacebar. It's a good safety net on top of strong damage increases that makes this the most desirable. Hallucination you extra Critical Rate and damage. It's not as much damage as Poem of Salvation and also doesn't have the safety net, but is still a usable option. Dominion Fang grants large damage bonuses with reduced cooldowns but prompts the use of Awakening for maximum buff uptime.
Accessories and Stat Distribution
While Crit is our main stat, the amount of Swiftness we desire depends on our Relic gearset selection. You'll want enough Swiftness to make the rotation feel comfortable and smooth while having enough Crit. Regardless of the relic set you chose, your necklace will always be Crit / Swiftness. If you take Salvation, you'll want to take Swiftness on one ring. Hallucination users will need to take Swiftness on one ring and one earring. Dominion Fang users only take Swiftness on their necklace.
