Combat Readiness Gunlancer Gearing Guide for Lost Ark

The Combat Readiness playstyle has two options to pick from when it comes to gear sets; Either Nightmare Flower or Shrieking Hallucination. Both builds are viable, so feel free top choose whichever you prefer playstyle-wise. Blue Gunlancer loves Specialization, and you should be running it on every single accessory you have. Your Normal skills scale too well off it to not stack it as much as possible.

Card sets for Gunlancer are very straight forward. If you have access to it, Light of Salvation is the set to equip for Legion raids affected by Light-type damage. For any other content, or if Light of Salvation is unavailable, Lostwind Cliff is optimal for the increased Crit rate. If you're new to the game, feel free to equip any card set you have access to that increases survivability, such as Field Boss II.

Combat Readiness has a little variation to choose from, since the class engraving itself can be used at either level 1 or level 3, which then affects which combat engravings you use. Decisions should be made based on budget, Relic gear set, and preferred playstyle.

Engraving	Priority	Description
Combat Readiness	High	While required, you can choose whether to use this engraving at level 1 or level 3. It doesn't scale the best, so level 1 is fine to use.
Grudge	High	A staple in damage builds. Every DPS class in this game takes it, Gunlancer being no different. Defensive Stance makes the downside of Grudge almost entirely negligible.
Cursed Doll	High	Since we have Defensive Stance up almost all of the time, blue Gunlancer doesn't really have any reliance on potions. Feel free to use this with basically no downside.
Adrenaline	High	Since Combat Readiness stacks Specialization, and our skills don't give us Crit, this engraving fixes our low Crit rate.
Barricade	High	Defensive Stance should be up during every burst window you have, so this engraving gets a lot of use.
Stabilized Status	High	This engraving rewards you for staying above 80% health. Since we don't take very much damage, you should gain full benefits from this. Green potions can be used to maintain your health above 80% of needed.
Keen Blunt Weapon	Shrieking Hallucination Only	This engraving should only be used with the Shrieking Hallucination gear set, as blue Gunlancer doesn't have enough Crit normally to abuse it. If you run this, remove Stabilized Status.

Starting in Legendary gear, you'll want the Preordained Diligence set from Argos to give you additional Critical Rate. At this point in the game, you can mostly ignore the set from Valtan normal mode and immediately start transitioning into either the Nightmare Flower or Shrieking Hallucination. Both are viable, just ensure you take the proper engravings, mentioned above, before making your decision.

Gunlancer wants as much Specialization as possible. The only negotiable stats are on the necklace, where you can either run Crit or Swiftness. For maximum damage potential, run Crit. If you feel like you need the comfort of going fast, Swiftness still works fine.
