Firepower Enhancement Artillerist Guide for Lost Ark
Locked and loaded, Artillerist comes armed to the teeth with all types of explosive. Armed with a heavy launcher, Artillerist also comes with turrets, land mines, and is capable of calling down lasers from space to annihilate the enemy. Artillerist comes with two different playstyles, Firepower and Barrage.
Firepower Enhancement: Skill Builds and Rotations
If you're looking for further information on the Firepower Enhancement
build for Artillerist, the following links will provide that for you.
Firepower Enhancement Strengths and Weaknesses
Easy to pick up and play
Mobile
No positionals
Very little casting
Lower damage ceiling
Susceptible to missing delayed skill shots
Chaos Dungeon Skill Build
This build is mainly personal preference, feel free to play with the build and create something you enjoy. There's a lot of options for AoE on Artillerist, and Chaos Dungeons provide a good way of playing around with skills you may normally not get to use.
Raid Skill Build
Not much here can be moved around. The main skill to consider swapping out for personal preference is Napalm Shot. While this skill does
a decent amount of damage, and also provides increased stagger as a raid buff, it's main job is to be Artillerist's counter. The other options here
are
Swing and
Forward Barrage. Make your decision on what to take based upon the enocunter and player preference.
All of your damage will come from the following skills, ensure these hit the boss at all costs:
The common theme here is all of these skills have some sort of delay to them. Pressurized Heatbomb is a casted action, and even once the cast finishes,
it has a follow up attack that can be interrupted by pushback or paralysis. Both
Air Raid and
Homing Barrage are delayed upon being placed.
Be mindful, both of these can be interrupted as well. The window for
Homing Barrage to be interrupted is much shorter, but it's still something to
consider when dealing with boss attacks. While missing any of these feels awful, it feels worse when the bomb never gets placed in the first place.
The Awakening skill for Firepower Enhancement can be either choice.
Missile Barrage is the higher damaging
option of the two, but it's flaw is the accuracy of the missiles launched. You will absolutely suffer with smaller target models,
namely Legion Raids. Use this with larger, slower enemies such as Kungalanium.
Heavy Turret is much more accurate, and enemy
hit box size won't matter. This Awakening lasts 20 seconds and will spam both frontal and point-based attacks on the enemy. You may
notice this Awakening is also a Chain-type attack. Once summoned, the player can manually execute Photoelectronic Cannon,
which forces the turret to hard-target a single enemy and deal massive damage to it through lasers. This is definitely the safer of the two
options.
The raid synergy buff for Artillerist is Defense Reduction on the enemy. This can be applied through multiple skills
by assigning the appropriate tripod. We've assigned it to Enhanced Shell for this build, but
Summon Turret is also an option.
The decision here is based upon whether you wish to manually apply it through
Enhanced Shell or if you wish for it to be applied by a
pet with
Summon Turret.
Firepower Enhancement's Playstyle
Of the two Engravings, Firepower Enhancement is much more straight-forward. At it's core, the rotation revolves
around maintaining Firepower 3, which builds simply by dealing damage with Normal skills, while also keeping up
your Synergy buff. Damage is dealt by landing your delayed skill shots, which all have a longer cooldown timer.
In between these actions you'll filler with
Enhanced Shell and
Summon Turret to keep your Firepower
Level up and also ensure your turrets never overcap on stacks.
Entering Barrage Mode should be avoided, but it can be a strategic option if needed. There's two fairly common occurrences where Barrage Mode is actually beneficial:
- Barrage Mode provides a shield with
Bombardment: Impregnability as well as push-immunity. Use this tactfully to keep uptime through certain mechanics.
Firepower Enhancement will inevitably run into a problem where you're out of attacks due to cooldown timers and you're forced to resort to auto attacks. It's better to enter Barrage Mode, shoot off
Barrage: Energy Cannon, then immediately spacebar out of it to continue using your normal rotation.
Opener Rotation
While the below video is on a dummy, we'll still showcase where to use Energy Field to gain push-immunity
on two of your most important skills,
Homing Barrage and
Air Raid. If running the build showcased on
this page, take advantage of the delayed damage from these two actions by using
Napalm Shot immediately after.
This will allow you to snapshot both actions under the stagger buff.
Enhanced Shell will get used on cooldown
to maintain
Armor Destruction and also keep uptime on the boss as filler. This also provides
ample opportunities to proc your
Quick Recharge as much as possible.
