Loyal Companion Sharpshooter Gearing Guide for Lost Ark

Loyal Companion can either build primarily Swiftness or Specialization depending on what playstyle you prefer. Your gearset also changes to be in line with your stat distribution.

Card sets are shared across both engravings for Sharpshooter. In the early game you can use cards that help with survivability such as Field Boss II, We'll Meet Again and Forest of Giants. For optimal damage you'll want Light of Salvation at 18 or 30 awakening, though is quite a late game goal. Lostwind Cliff provides additional Critical Rate and is a solid stand-in as you gradually work towards Light of Salvation.

There aren't plenty of options to choose from, Death Strike's engravings are straightforward.

Grudge	Very High	This is a staple damage engraving. As a DPS you should be using this as an immediate slot-in for your setup.
Hit Master	Very High	Given your non-positional skills, this is taken over Cursed Doll.
Keen Blunt Weapon	Very High	A number of your DPS skills have innate Critical Rate on top of being a Crit built class makes this incredibly efficient.
Cursed Doll	Optional	Even with the healing penalty, the 16% Attack Power makes this the choice to round out your 5x3 setup.
Raid Captain	Optional	Works well with Swiftness build on top of your Move Speed granted from your hawk & support buffs.
Adrenaline	Optional	Can be taken to provide additional Critical Rate; loses some effectiveness when paired with Cursed Doll.

Starting in Legendary gear, you'll want the Preordained Diligence set from Argos to give you additional Critical Rate. You can use the 2-piece gear from Valtan Normal but it's only recommended if you intend on parking your character at 1415. Once you obtain Relic gear, you have a couple different options depending on what build you want:

1. Shrieking Hallucination: Can be used with any build, giving us +25% Critical Rate on top of our base stat to ensure we can utilize Keen Blunt Weapon.
2. Poem of Salvation: Usually taken on Spec or Hybrid builds. Provides us with more damage compared to Hallucination and extra Attack Speed at the expense of less Crit.
3. Dominion Fang: Paired with 2pc of Nightmare Flower and requires a high amount of Swiftness to really perform.

Building full Swiftness Loyal Companion is gonna sit you around 1650-1700+ Swiftness assuming good quality accessories. This ensures you'll max out Raid Captain's damage bonus, it's actually an overkill amount assuming you're running with a support that has Yearning's buff active. Aside from that however, it also furthers reduces our cooldowns and increases our Attack Speed. Your Crit stat comes from your necklace and bracelet.

If you decide to build Spec, you'll want to fine tune how much Crit you would like and invest everything else into Specialization. This changes depending on your engraving and gear choices. Generally, you'll hover between 40 to 50% Critical Rate. The lower you want to invest into Crit, the more reason there is to be using Hallucination. Higher Crit means you can opt to use Adrenaline and pick up Salvation instead. You could also just use Hallucination and Adrenaline together and fully invest into as much Spec as possible.
