Arena Quests in Monster Hunter Wilds
Arena Quests release with the First Free Title Update on April 4, 2025.
What are Arena Quests in Monster Hunter Wilds?
Arena Quests in Monster Hunter Wilds are a time-competition where you will have to complete specific quests as fast as possible. Competing in the Arena will grant you a spot on the Expedition Record Board, and exclusive rewards!
Basically Arena Quests are here to allow you to rank against other players on a leaderboard and showcase your best score.
How to Unlock and Participate in Arena Quests in Monster Hunter Wilds?
In order to unlock the Arena in Monster Hunter Wilds, you need to first reach Hunter Rank 16 and unlock the Grand Hub in Suja.
For more information about the Grand Hub, and everything you can do in there, you can visit our Guide:
Once you have access to the Grand Hub, you will access the Arena Counter inside the hub. Through the Arena Counter you can accept Arena Quest and Challenge Quests.
What are the Arena Rules?
The Arena has very specific rules in Monster Hunter Wilds. It is made to test your raw skills against other players. This means that you can not just enter with any gear, weapon, or a max rank group of hunters.
In order to be able to test hunter's raw skills, the Arena will force you to enter with pre-determined gear and weapons. Additionally, only parties of maximum 2 players can enter, and not more.
This system is there to force all the participating hunters on an equal pedestal. Everyone will compete with the same gear, and you will have to really rely on your own skills to complete the quests as fast as possible if you want to make it high on the leaderboard.
Arena Leaderboard
As mentioned before, you will have the possibility to check your rank, and the other hunter's ranks, on the leaderboard. This leaderboard is called the Expedition Record Board and can be found at the entrance of the Grand Hub.
The Expedition Record Board will give you access to:
- Global Rankings
- Limited Bounties
- Announcements
- Environment Overview
In order to rank on the leaderboard you need to participate in Arena Quests, and complete them. Each time you complete a hunt faster, your new record time will be registered on the Record Board. You CAN NOT capture monsters during those hunts in order to shorten the time. You have to slay the monsters.
Completing an Arena Quest will give you a rank from A to C depending on your time:
- Rank A: 5'00"00
- Rank B: 10'00"00
- Rank C: 50'00"00
Arena Limited Bounties
The arena also gives you access to limited bounties. Those are similar to your usual small quests such as "complete one Arena Quest". They will rewards with things such as Armor Spheres, ingredients, or materials.
Arena Quest or Challenge Quests?
Challenge Quests are the same as Arena Quests, but as limited-event quests. Free challenge quests are similar as well, but as limited-events without the gear and party limitations.
For more information about the Challenge Quests and Free Challenge quests, you can take a look at our Guide:
What are the Arena Quests Rewards?
Arena Quests will reward you with exclusive Pendants that will depend on your rank.
So far it is unknown if Pendants are the only possible rewards, and how or when those will be rewarded. This section will be updated as soon as more information is released about the Arena Rewards!
