With the latest Title update, a lot of new content was added to Monster Hunter Wilds, including the Arena! The biggest goal of the Arena is to test your raw skills against various Monsters, and rank you against other players; However, it may also serve just to get new gear!
Not every player wants to compete, and some just want to get new amazing items. It turns out that participating in the Arena actually unlocks two new Armor Sets!
Guild Cross Alpha Armor Set
The Guild Cross Armor is part of previous Monster Hunter titles, and themed after the Hunter Guild’s armors. In order to unlock this set, you need to:
- Head to the Arena Counter
- Participate in the Arena: Chatacabra quest
- The timer will not matter, you only have to complete the hunt in order to obtain special coins
- When you get your first coin, the armor set will unlock as a craftable set at the Smithy Gemma
In order to craft the full Guild Cross armor, you need the following items:
- 15 Chata Coin
- 5 Pinnacle Coin
- 2 Nerscylla Carapace
- 2 Congalala Pelt+
- 2 Rubbery Hide+
- 2 Rathian Scale+
- 2 Kut-Ku Scale+
The Guild Cross armor can be useful as it gives you access to the group skill Glory’s Favor, which increases quest target rewards. It also comes with the following skills:

Clerk Alpha Armor Set
The Arena gives you access to a second armor set! This time, you will need to participate in the other Arena Quest: Rathian. It works similar to the previous one:
- Head to the Arena Quest Counter
- Participate in the Arena: Rathian quest
- Simply complete the hunt. You do not have to score the highest rank
- Getting your first Rathian Coin will unlock the armor at the Smithy
In order to craft the full Clerk armor, you need the following items:
- 10 Rathian Coin
- 5 Chata Coin
- 5 Pinnacle Coin
- 2 Doshaguma Hide+
- 2 Gravios Carapace+
- 2 Blangonga Pelt+
