Hunting for monsters is one thing, but hunting for trophies or achievements is a whole different challenge! In Monster Hunter Wilds, there are a total of 50 trophies you can obtain. Some are easy and unlocked automatically as you play, while others are hidden and require a significant grind. For all the trophy hunters out there, here are the best tips and tricks to help you get your 100% Achievements. This works on any platform, the only difference being it is called Trophies on Console, and Achievements on Steam.
Understanding Achievements
In every game, on console or PC, there are achievements you can unlock. While they do not offer in-game rewards, they provide an extra challenge and encourage you to explore content you might otherwise miss.
Monster Hunter Wilds features the following trophies:
- 1 Platinum Trophy – Unlocked after obtaining all other trophies.
- 2 Gold Trophies – These correspond to the Crown Hunts in Wilds.
- 10 Silver Trophies.
- 37 Bronze Trophies.
Among the Silver and Bronze trophies, there are:
- 8 story-related achievements unlocked by completing the main quest.
- 5 hidden trophies that will not appear in your list until you unlock them.
Achievements in Monster Hunter Wilds fall into several categories:
- Hunting and Combat – Defeat specific monsters, use certain mechanics, complete unique missions.
- Exploration and Gathering – Discover all regions, collect rare materials.
- Multiplayer Achievements – Participate in co-op hunts, assist other hunters.
- Completion Goals – Finish all quests, obtain Crowns, etc.

Choosing the Right Strategy
When it comes to trophy hunting, having the right strategy and staying organized is very important. The goal is to avoid wasting time on activities that could be done more efficiently alongside others. Here is what to focus on:
- Finish the Main Story First – The main quests will unlock eight achievements, and along the way, you will naturally complete others (e.g., setting up a Pop-up Camp, customizing your Seikret, catching wildlife, mounting a monster, etc.).
- Complete Quests and Side Quests – Some trophies require you to complete at least 50 quests. Do not hesitate and accept and complete every quest you can.
- Use Your Palico for Low-Rank Quests – Since one trophy requires 100 hunts with your Palico, it is best to do this in Low Rank, as High Rank often involves multiplayer, which removes your Palico.

- Hunt, Hunt, Hunt – You need to slay 50 Tempered Monsters and 50 Apex Predators for specific trophies.
- Capture Monsters – One trophy requires 50 captures. Make sure to bring Pitfall Traps or Shock Traps and Tranq Bombs or Tranq Ammo.
- Crown Hunting – You need around 10 miniature and gold crowns. Use your binoculars to identify crowned monsters, then save them under Investigations to hunt them multiple times.
- Use Your Capture Net – Always keep it equipped to catch endemic life, as some are rarer than others.
- Fishing – There are three fishing-related trophies. Whenever you see water, take a few minutes to fish. Some fish require the rod instead of the capture net. You will need to reel in 30 whoopers for one achievement.
- Cooking – One trophy requires you to use the BBQ Grill and cook a Well-Done Steak.

- Use Camps – Set up 10 Pop-up Camps. If you are just aiming for the trophy, place them anywhere. You can destroy and rebuild them later.
- Craft Weapons and Equipment – One trophy requires you to craft Rarity 7+ armor and Rarity 8+ Artian weapons. This should happen naturally as you upgrade gear.
- Explore Game Features – Some achievements require small interactions like customizing your Seikret, customize your Tent, following a player, viewing Hunter Profiles, performing a sneak attack, completing a Field Survey, or finishing an Investigation.
- Play Multiplayer – Some trophies require 100 multiplayer quests and viewing 30 Hunter Profiles.
- Reach Hunter Rank 100 – This will naturally happen if you are completing all trophies, as every activity grants experience.
- Earn 1,000,000 Zenny – Simply sell materials you do not need.
Best Strategies for the Rarest Achievements
Some achievements are difficult due to low spawn rates or confusing requirements. Here are tips for the most problematic ones:
- A Prize Held High – Capture a Curioshell Crab in Windward Plains (Areas 6, 14, or 17) near water during Plenty. Wear a Ghillie Mantle so they do not flee. Use the capture net. They often hold Ancient Wyvern Coins. You may need to capture several.
- I Caught a Shooting Star – Capture a Sandstar in Windward Plains (Area 13, Oasis) at night during Fallow or Plenty:
- Be careful – Chatacabra roams the area and will annoy you constantly, scaring away your preys and destroying your Camp.
- Use Screamer Pods to stun them before throwing your capture net.
- Monster (Squid) Hunter – Capture a Goliath Squid in Scarlet Forest (Area 17) at night during Plenty.
- A-fish-ionado – Reel in 30 Whoopers (not with the capture net). A great spot is Scarlet Forest (Area 17, morning), with 4 fish per respawn cycle. The fish that count are:
- Great Trevally, Gajau, Speartuna, Gastronome Tuna, and Goliath Squid.
- Crown Hunting – Save crowned monsters as Investigations so you can hunt them multiple times. Share investigations with friends or other players to speed up the process.
Hunting for trophies in Monster Hunter Wilds is a very fun journey. Most of the achievements will come naturally as you play, others will require a bit of patience, strategy, and luck. Plan ahead, optimize your hunts, and make use of all the game’s features, and you will get your 100% soon!
