Monster Hunter Wilds has taken Steam by storm, smashing records and reaching a peak of over 1.3 million concurrent players on launch day!
This makes it one of the biggest launches in Steam history, surpassing even major titles like Cyberpunk 2077 (1.05M peak) and Elden Ring (953K peak). In just seven hours, the game climbed from 880,000 players at launch to over 1.07 million, and now, the number keeps rising. At this point, MH Wilds might even be on track to pass Black Myth: Wukong or Palworld!

With these numbers, Monster Hunter Wilds has officially entered Steam’s top five most-played games ever, an incredible achievement for the franchise. The game’s strong start proves just how massive the Monster Hunter community is and how much excitement there was for this release!
