The Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase for the upcoming First Title Update just ended, revealing a lot of new content! We will go over everything in detail, but here’s a first recap of the key information shared during the Showcase! As a reminder, the upcoming Title update is completely free, and you will be able to enjoy it as long as you own the base game!
The First Free Title Update launches on April 4, 2025. The second free Title Update is planned for Summer 2025!

Upcoming Content
Check out our full breakdown of all the content coming in the first free Title Update:
- New Monsters:
- Mizutsune – Available at Rank 21+. Talk to Kanya in the Scarlet Forest to unlock the Mizutsune Hunt, and get the new set of Gear for yourself and your Palico
- Arch-tempered Rey Dau – Event quest available for Hunter Rank 50+. Stronger than Tempered monsters, with new Armor as well
- Zoh Shia – Special mission that will unlock when you reach Hunter Rank 50. You can select it through the environment overview on your map. After that, Zoh Shia will also appear during the Wyvern’s Wakening in the Ruins of Wyveria, and can be made into a quest. Also comes with new Gear
- New Gear:
- Mizutsune Gear set
- Arch-tempered Rey Day Gamma gear set
- Zoh Shia Gear Set
- The Grand Hub – A massive gathering place in Suja, packed with various things for Hunters to do in between Hunts:
- Unlocks at Hunter Rank 16+ by talking to Tetsuzan in Suja, the Peaks of Accord
- Barrel Bowling Mini-game: Earn utility items and new pendants
- Watch and focus in on the Diva singing at night
- Squad information counter will move to the Grand Hub
- Taste the amazing food from the Palicos!
- Arena Quests – Compete with other Hunters for the fastest arena quest completed
- View rankings on the Expedition Record Board in the Grand Hub
- Limited bounties will be available and posted on the Expedition Record Board
- Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests will be available as limited-time Event Quests:
- You can earn pendants as participation rewards.
- More special pendants will be awarded based on your personal time and world ranking.
- In Arena Quests and Challenge Quests, you must use predetermined equipment, and only up to 2 players can participate
- Free Challenge Quests do not have predetermined equipment and can be taken on by parties of up to 4 players or support NPCs
- You can take on Arena quests from the Arena Quest Counter in the grand Hub
- Change Alma’s Outfit – In your tent, you will now be able to change Alma’s outfit!
- An outfit for Alma will be available to download for free for all players
- After completing a side quest, you will also be able to change her glasses
Downloadable Content
Free content is coming for all players! Here is what you will be able to get without paying anything:
- One Outfit for Alma
- Classic Gestures from the Monster Hunter Series
The following downloadable content will not be free:
- Cosmetic DLC Pack 1 – This pack will be free only if you bought the Premium Deluxe Edition or Cosmetic DLC Pass
- New Camp Gear options
- New Stickers
- New Pendants
- More outfits for Alma
- And more!
New Event Quests & Seasonal Event
The developers plan to keep adding Event Quests to the game! If you missed out on the old events, do not worry, as they will make a comeback as well. The events will reward you with experience, rare materials, and even special Armor!
Additionally, we will get the very first Seasonal Event: The Festival of Accord:
- The Grand Hub will host a celebration each season.
- The Festival of Accord – Blossomdance will celebrate Spring on April 23
- During Seasonal Events, the appearance of the Grand Hub and available meals will change, fitting the season
- You will be able to obtain limited equipment, gestures, pop-up camp decorations, and more
