Capcom has officially announced that Monster Hunter Wilds has registered more than 10 million units sold worldwide! This number was reached in less than a month after its release on February 28, 2025. Such a big milestone sets a new company record for first-month sales, showcasing the incredible popularity of the franchise. Then record can be due to many factors, let’s go over some of them!

A Vast and Dynamic World

Monster Hunter Wilds introduces us to an ever-changing ecosystem. It blends unstable landscapes filled with aggressive monsters and dynamic biomes packed with life. Powered by the RE ENGINE, the game delivers stunning visuals and simple exploration.

Crossplay and New Mechanics Enhance Gameplay

The game supports full crossplay between PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, making multiplayer experiences more accessible than ever. While the multiplayer does lack a bit, you can still choose to play with anyone you want, even if they do not own the game on the same platform.

Additionally, new features such as the Focus Mode and simple transitions between camp areas and hunting zones have optimized the gameplay experience.

Future Updates and New Content

Capcom has confirmed that Monster Hunter Wilds will continue to receive post-launch updates. The first free Title Update is scheduled for April 4, bringing back a fan-favorite monster and introducing the Grand Hub, a new player base camp designed for social interaction and gathering.

The fact that the title update is free also pushed more new players to join the hunts since they know they will not have to pay additional money to get the new updates.

With strong early sales and a promising roadmap of content updates, Monster Hunter Wilds is set to keep on growing.
