Every Monster Guide Available
If you are struggling against a specific monster, our guides break down everything you need to know, from attack patterns to the best gear to bring into the fight:
- Ajarakan – A flaming ape that fights with pure aggression. Expect fire-based damage.
- Arkveld (Chained)(Coming Soon) – A massive beast that wields its restraints as weapons, turning the battlefield into a hazard zone.
- Balahara – A sand-dwelling predator that uses ambush tactics.
- Blangonga – A frost-covered primate that can freeze you in place with its icy breath.
- Chatacabra – This amphibian uses sticky fluids to trap hunters.
- Congalala – Unpredictable and chaotic, this one keeps us on our toes with its wild movements.
- Doshaguma – A brute with crushing strength.
- Gore Magala (Coming Soon) – The Frenzy Virus is back!
- Gypceros – Loves to blind hunters with flashing attacks.
- Gravios – A walking fortress with thick armor. Cracking through its defenses is half the battle.
- Hirabami – This slippery monster thrives in wet environments.
- Jin Dahaad – A powerhouse known for its devastating blows. Make sure to dodge!
- Lala Barina – Uses illusions and disorienting movements to keep hunters guessing.
- Mizutsune – A sleek, water-manipulating Leviathan that can cover you in immobilizing bubbles, making movement difficult.
- Nerscylla – A spider-like monster that pins hunters down with webbing.
- Nu Udra – A unique and powerful monster with abilities that force you to adapt on the fly.
- Quematrice – A Brute Wyvern that uses fire-based attacks.
- Rathalos (Coming Soon) – The King of the Skies returns! Uses aerial fire attacks, so be careful!
- Rathian (Coming Soon) – Just as deadly as Rathalos, but her poison tail makes things even worse.
- Rey Dau – An electric dragon with powerful storm-based attacks.
- Rompopolo – A large Brute Wyvern that is relentless and fast.
- Uth Duna – A big giant that dominates its territory. You will need serious firepower to bring it down.
- Xu Wu – A Cephalopod predator that uses its tentacles to create sharp, blade-like edges, earning it the nickname ‘Piercing Assassin’. It can throw projectiles and has a large mouth on its underside for devouring prey.
- Yian Kut-Ku – A tricky bird wyvern that is faster than it looks.
- Zoh Shia – A massive Guardian monster that has been feeding off the Dragontorch’s energy. Its body is encased in crystallized Wyvern Milk, allowing it to regenerate, and it uses energy attacks to produce explosions and crystallize the area.

An interesting find is that Gore Magala’s return, known for the Frenzy Virus, was not initially highlighted in all early lists that covered Monster Hunter Wilds’ known Monsters but is now confirmed, which is adding quite a bit of excitement for fans of previous titles. If you let the Frenzy Virus take hold, you are in for a rough fight!
And just a heads-up: Monsters like Mizutsune are not in the game yet but will be added in the first free title update coming in April!
