The Arena released in Monster Hunter Wilds with the First Title Update, and many players are trying to get the highest rank! However, the Arena forces you to use a specific type of equipment, and you may not be able to enter with your favorite weapon!

How Does It Work?
Since the Arena gives you access to a leaderboard, every player has to enter with given equipment by the game. This puts players on the same level of power, and forces you to use your skills to make it through the fight. The goal is to be faster than everyone else!
However, this also means that you may not be able to enter with the weapon you are used to playing with.

Why Should You Pick the Lance?
For the Arena: Chatacabra quest, the Lance is the best pick because it massively messes up the frog. This is due to the fact that Chatacabra is always close to the ground, and your lance can just block and deal massive damage by constantly poking the monster without moving. You do not have to worry about having to get out of the way with the Lance during this fight.
The goal is to perfect block and counter. You will continuously poke, block or counter, poke again, and so on. With Power Guard and Thrust, you can easily make it through the fight and reach Rank A on that Arena quest!
