Palico Equipment and Armor Guide for Monster Hunter Wilds

Equipment and gear play a crucial role in enhancing a Palico's performance in battle. Palicoes have 3 slots for their gear with one being for the Palico weapon and the rest for Armor. Just like a hunter's gear, Palico equipment has various elemental attributes, each with its own effects, such as Fire, Water, Thunder, Ice, and Dragon, which can influence effectiveness against certain monsters.

The materials for crafting and upgrading Palico gear are primarily obtained by hunting and defeating monsters, making gear progression an integral part of the gameplay.

Currently in the Beta version of Monster Hunter Wilds there are four sets a Palico can equip.

An attack type refers to the category of damage a weapon inflicts, such as Blunt or Severing.

In the Palico Equipment Info section, you can view the stats of the currently equipped gear. For example, the Felyne Hope Overalls provide specific elemental resistances. This information helps you decide which equipment best suits your needs based on the type of monster you’re facing, allowing you to create an optimal gear set.

Additionally, under the Status menu, you can see the combined stats of all equipped gear. This gives you a broader overview of your Palico’s total defenses and resistances, helping you choose the best setup for any given situation.
